That's why healers exist now. Sloppy groups. Our main purpose in the eyes of the devs is to babysit and mop up all the mistakes the group makes. Not to have fun or play an engaging role, we're just there as a necessity so casual players can feel like their story instances were challenging, without actually having to wipe. Other roles are there to have the fun.

This is why once your group learns a fight well and optimizes mitigation you suddenly have nothing to heal and you're left pressing 1 over and over. Your job is over. You only get thrown raidwides every minute or so, or targeted with stack markers or such, to try and prevent the group from leaving you behind entirely. But your job is still basically done if the group doesn't make any mistakes. You're just there as security incase they do, so you can mop up and let them continue to enjoy themselves.

It's sad really when you think about it.
