actually, i'd argue that *your* attitude is the bigger problem. anyone who tries to say their idea of fun, of content, of whatever is the only way it should be, is the only thing that the game should have, etc (everyone else be damned)... don't seem to get it. no MMO can hope to be anything but a niche title, a flash in the pan at best, if it only listens to one demographic above any other. then all your other demographics are alienated and leave for greener pastures.

this is the biggest problem with the hardcore vs. casual type debates i see on this forum, too. neither side seems to understand that the game needs to please *both* demographics, and everything in-between.

too often the hardcores say "nope, the game isn't hard enough. make THE ENTIRE GAME harder" just as too often the casuals say "nope, game is too hard. the ENTIRE GAME should be easier and more accessible"

but for a successful MMO you need to appease both camps. you need content for the casuals and you need content for the hardcores. you need to listen a fair bit to both. and you have to bridge the gap.

(that said- so far this game doesn't seem to be doing much of anything at all to appease us hardcores, but that's another argument entirely)

tl;dr starting discussion in an open forum only to cross your arms and say "well i want nothing to do with YOUR side/opinion" is counterproductive. if you don't want to give another opinion the time of day, why even bother offering yours?
