When people in the future asks you if the FFXIV community is really as friendly and non toxic as they like to pretend, go ahead and point them to this thread so they can see the actual community mindset and how they talk to each other and how having different opinions is not alright and instantly sturs up flame wars.

I mean... it's Forum. And given we mostly see same faces here, it's not exactly represantive of the community as a whole.

Also, in all years of playing MMORPGs... it's by far actually the chillest Forum I saw, despite having its "moments" (like this thread). So yeah, in comparison, FF14 community is fairly friendly and mostly not toxic.

I find using the minors for some moral issues to be silly. For one, it is the parents jobs to teach kids right and wrong. What to do and not. So them even being online in a social settings. Second off kids keep doing this sort of thing at a younger and younger age, even when I was growing up. My best friend in middle school was active in this way. My view point is. Better for them to get kicks off in a fantasy than have life ruined.

Point is the game is rated T for sexual themes, and all that stuff and teens are sexual. It can't be helped. It is not the community job to care about bad parenting.

In EU we exactly have this problem. They want to make the Internet kids friendly instead of developing kids friendly browsers, dns-services etc.
Imagine a ponyland where everything is kids friendly as an adult human. Thats how humans become stupid. Thats the beginning of mass rapes and other "frustrating acts".

The best solution would be not to completely ban adult content. Simple allow them in private chats or places. If the trash EU regulators coming up simple separate them and only let proofed adults (payment method) in. Maybe this can be also a option to ban texture/model mods from the game and only allow them in private places like houses.

I always support services with more freedom than trash regulations to every little corner. Final Fantasy feels like an freedom world and this aspect should be one of this.

With the right separation system this could be a positive PR thing for FF14. More and more people fear what happen to the internet.
PS: I give a shit about when something bad happen in a service or social platform. This can be always happen with stupid humans on this planet and its only the bad thing when you have a free world.

yeah like...less than 10% of the community even looks at the forums. If its not some kinda official event you need to use the forums for or asking questions for a Q&A for a upcoming Live Letter. Not a lot of people even visit the forums its just the same people for the short time I've been here.

If saying that the potential harm of pedophilic disorder does not warrant preemptive persecution then so be it please report me. I am sorry if I do not think the possession of non hyper realistic deceptions of children in the form of hentai, digital art, NSFW mods, etc, show that a person is going to cause direct harm to another. Though if someone does believe that to be true then I respect their right to protect their own values and personally restrict access to such potential content (aka proper parenting.)

I will gladly take any potential suspension if what I have said is proven to be in violation of the ToS.

I think people liking it are not really pedo's in my book. Now things like khole is kinda different because though its clearly a cat girl which are not real ofc. FFXIV is realistic looking enough to be worst to me than something like anime. Though khole still looks kinda anime like, not gonna lie but still.
But if I had to pick the worst of the worst its for sure hyper realistic which you also agree is about as far you can defend.

So, you re telling us, that people who "like" loli hentais are not pedos. But people who "like" Khloe are? Why is it a difference, when both are clearly fictional children in a NSFW setting?
What about anime fanart (hentai) of Khloe?

FFXIV art style is semi-realistic, with a small anime-touch. How are screenshots different than drawn images?

Pretty sure most people would agree that hyper realistic is where they draw the line. I get my view may be different but FFXIV tends to have a more anime style in my view. See for me hyper realistic is at a glance I am like damn is that real? For me that is what I view as hyper realistic, it makes me question if it is real or not. No video game when it comes to character models has yet made me ask myself that question. For me hyper realistic blurs the line so well that it takes a second look to confirm it is not real. So yeah I would not put last of us 2 or any AAA game as hyper realistic. To me that is more so in the vein of well that is some real good CGI, but I still know what I am looking at is fake.
