If an adult pushes when they know it is a minor once again report, if someone approaches you for ERP and you do not like that sort of thing report. I am sorry I have already said adults that willfully interact with minors knowing they are minors are a problem and that is when you use the report feature and depending on the degree possibly report it to your local authorities.

What I am saying things are already put into place to combat such things, though just like many of our laws they are reactive not proactive. If people want a more proactive solution that solely is placed on the individual or in some cases the parents.

Tbh you should stop putting this all on the adults in terms on online interactions if a minor does lie to an adult and the adult can prove such then in most places legal action will not be taken against the adult when it comes to online interactions, cause the intent was not to interact with a minor. They were operating under the grounds that the person in question was an adult.

In the end what do you honestly expect anyone to do that would fully proactively protect people from NSFW content and ERP propositions?

This thread needs to be shut down. At this point it's just a conversation of the obvious -- children do play this game, yes there are some absolutely monstrous (I hesitate to use the word people for those who actively and knowingly and willingly do these things, given I myself was a victim of child abuse for more than a decade, but, lacking any other terminology--) people taking advantage of that, but mods? Little to do with the issue at large.

The tags on this thread are cringier than the actual content. Imagine thinking defending NSFW mods = pedo-apologist.
Now, anybody who knows me, knows I don't really jive with the ERP scene, play with mods, or do anything NSFW outside of my own bedroom. But I can also respect that people have needs and wants, and a healthy, safe outlet is perfectly fine. When it's harmless.

Everything in life, the universe, and existence is all about a matter of degree. Doing kinky stuff with a consenting adult? Perfectly fine. Grooming a child to do those things with you? VERY OBVIOUSLY NOT OKAY. (Imho, if you are a young person playing the game, you shouldn't have these sorts of mods, but I'm not their parents, and frankly neither are any of you. If you know of a young person with these sorts of mods, I recommend talking to them like a person and explaining the dangers in a calm and polite, non-condescending manner, instead of flipping your shit.)

Hell this literally started because two people (Asmond and the modder in question) wanted attention. That's what they always want. Congratulations, you have given them precisely the nonsense they were fishing for. We only know she was fishing for attention because she POSTED the MOST CRINGE "apology" on the planet on her Discord, and that got leaked onto twitter because she is, in fact, an idiot. It was agonizingly obvious she was fishing for attention. If you don't already know about the mountain of red flags from Asmond...idk google it. People commenting on this thread are out here lumping Modders with RPers with ERPers, and that's just very incorrect -- each group has its own issues and benefits. There's plenty of folks going about their business, running ACT, making interesting things like makeups and tattoos and outfits and hairstyles (and yes, even naked things) that are doing zero harm to people.
Everything is a spectrum, including mods.

His twitter was later banned or disabled. Either way, there's not really much of a thing as a "mod hunter", and most modders (as far as I understand) aren't part of a satanic cult to try and get pedophiles to touch children playing the game.

I mean, just a couple of pages ago people were arguing about how the depiction of naked kids is totally fine as long as it isn't hyper-hyper realistic. Not sure if you're automatically a puritan when you think arguments like that are in poor taste.

The Asmo video certainly wasn't the start of this, but it's nice to see we still have portions of the community willing to demonize ERPers through hypotheticals, misunderstandings of ratings systems, shirking of parental responsibilities, and talk of mods as if they mysteriously install themselves or that any rational person would think (artificial) CP is tolerated in an MMO.

There are some very basic parenting tips to instill upon your children if you're going to let them internet unsupervised:
1) Don't give out personal information.
2) Don't believe everything you see.
3) Don't click random links or go to unapproved sites.
4) Don't download/install anything you're asked/told that you weren't implicitly seeking to begin with and ideally with permission/confirmation beforehand.
5) If in doubt, close the window, walk away, and/or get the parent.
6) Assure them they will occasionally see bad/uncomfortable things through no fault of their own and that they can talk about it if they need to.

This is internet 101, folks. If your default response is that kids lie and will never listen to their parents, I'd be arguing you should never have a child, as that temptation to stray reflects a distrust in your authority and how you've raised them up to that point. Any form of RPing, be it simply seeing or even participating, is not going to endanger them as long as they stick to the above. And assuming you aren't a puritan hardarse that's done their research on a hobby, you could even go the extra mile and maturely explain what ERPing is so they know it if they see it.

Otherwise, the rest of the world doesn't need to walk on eggshells because some folks created an epidemic of villainy cast by a demographic they don't like in their minds. SE and the proper authorities have their own means to do what they need to. Trying to go scorched earth on any and all consenting adults is actually a detriment to that process via distraction and inundation.
