In this scenario is valid, since according to SE, children are allowed in. Just because is "the internet" you are not allow to do whatever. I will repeat myself: some are acting like FFXIV is the same as a Private ERP server from X game, they are not, and people should not behave the same way in both.

Not only that but literally (almost) no ERP roleplayer etc. seems to be bothered enough to even ask for any age identification. They are literally doing highly illegal stuff everyday, day in day out, and they don't even care. Dunno how much mental gymnastics it needs to defend such stuff but yeah...it's really crazy. It's your responsibility as an adult to watch out that you don't stick your digital sausage into underaged players.

Mods are ofc not the problem but rather the light to which all the moths are drawn.

And yes, sure. Save the children is a kinda stupid argument, they will come into contact with "bad" stuff anyways. What i am more concerned about here is how accepted literal sexting between minors and adults is in this community. This shit is illegal in probably every country this game is available in. And heck, as a ERP roleplayer i would be concerned af with which people i roleplay, i bet some are. But thousands are not and just stick their digital sausage everywhere and in my opinion they should be punished for it.

Well, ERP and mods are not public visible.

Because all NSFW stuff happens outside the game or in private rooms/private chat, people should mind their own business.

I am not into ERP do people legit as others to show their ID to people online? Only way I can see to confirm someone's age or is it more of an honor system kind of thing?

It's like saying violent, competitive games where players kill each other shouldn't exist because they might attract sociopaths. Dating apps might attract perverts, predators. What's available to adults shouldn't have to be built entirely around the existence of crazy people and children.

To be fair did have a therapist tell me not to play games like GTA due to my at the time borderline ASPD assessment when I was younger. Even now many of my therapist are stuck in the dark ages and are not too keen on me engaging with some forms of media and other such as horror films and stuff. Though being as I am an adult not much they can do about it now unlike when I was a child they had my mother's support.

So many might be in favor of such things.

Legit what could be done regarding minors and ERP? Not like photoshopping an ID is difficult or simplying lying about ones age. I would not say it is stone wall behavior more so what do people expect others to do? The burden should be on the parents to watch their kids not the other way around.
