Asmongold on NSFW mods

Feel like I shouldn't have to say this, but just banning nsfw mods wouldn't actually prevent creeps from trying to RP/ERP with minors.

Say SE actually did decide to start banning mods, what exactly is stopping them from going full "scorched earth" and disabling things like Gshade and ACT or whatever other benign mods you PC people use? I'd imagine Raiders and Gposers alike wouldn't be too pleased at first. But that still doesn't solve the issue of absolute weirdos trying to do the virtual nasty with underaged players, so SE proceeds to ban Roleplaying and consequently ERP as well. Now the RP community is in an uproar due to being punished for the actions of a bunch of outright degenerates. And that still wouldn't deter these people from seeking out minors.

As long as a chatbox exists, they can try to invite them to discord pages or other chatrooms to engage in illegal RP. SE could try to add a filter that detects when websites are being posted in the chat log, but I don't doubt that people would find ways to circumvent it, like telling someone to add them on Discord so they can be invited. At that point, they might as well go full PvP mode where everyone can only communicate via auto translated words and phrases.

Alternatively, they could just bump up the rating from T to M and set an age requirement, but that wouldn't really stop some goofy teenager from lying about their age and sneaking in anyways. The only thing that can realistically happen is that people actually police their selves and call out weirdos when they see them, because what I wrote above is an absolute worst case scenario that I honestly couldn't see SE going through with.

This could literally be said about any online platform.... why are you bringing this up in a thread about nude mods where the actual assets can only be seen if you yourself have the installed.

Well SE said they won't install spysoftware on our pcs cause of legal reasons. Dunno why, maybe such anticheat software that scans your pc is not legal in japan.

well to be fair she could of declined the interview but she wanted that fame due to Asmongold. She reaps what she sews now got no sympathy for her. Rule number keep your mouth shut and things won't happen

I find using the minors for some moral issues to be silly. For one, it is the parents jobs to teach kids right and wrong. What to do and not. So them even being online in a social settings. Second off kids keep doing this sort of thing at a younger and younger age, even when I was growing up. My best friend in middle school was active in this way. My view point is. Better for them to get kicks off in a fantasy than have life ruined.


Point is the game is rated T for sexual themes, and all that stuff and teens are sexual. It can't be helped. It is not the community job to care about bad parenting.

That is a disgusting take. No adult should think it should be okay. None. If the very idea of not knowing if the person you are interacting with is a minor does not make your skin crawl, something is seriously wrong with you. Also you aren't even acknowledging that people are using SE's game to depict minors in a NSFW manner. That is illegal in many countries and highly immoral.

And people talking about laws, online games are pretty protected from things like this. They can easily just say that it was not made by them, and that it is against the rules. They don't got to enforce the rules.

I think they do have to enforce it. But they have to go about it in a way where its shown they did a fair investigation. With stuff like mods, its very hard to pin down people.
As with yoshi said, they can't install some spyware on your pc. That'll be illegal.
Since mods are client side.
Like the only way for SE to detect mods if they do a file check everytime we log in. Like other games do with anticheat but people HATE those because a lot of them are borderline malware that live in your pc as a virus that can take info from you.
