    Pulling while in cutscenes: I consider this bad etiquette. Is it allowed according to the TOS? Probably. Does that make it okay? No. It's like, it's legal for me to fart in a crowded elevator when I could have held it in, that doesn't mean I should do it. Playing a social game in a co-op PVE duty suggests you should be prepared for working as a group.

    Complaining about early pulls: Getting angry is completely fine, so long as they aren't insulting or attacking. Saying "Hey, that is considered rude! I don't like that you did that at all!" is acceptable, it's like filing a complaint. You can be angry when you do it. Just don't make personal attacks and you can call them out as you need to. If you make a personal attack, that doesn't make the puller right, but it does make you abusive, and you should be able to get your point across without losing your own social skills.

    I was in a dungeon where melee LB3'd early and then we had a lot of deaths afterwards. Someone complained and was abusive towards the melee for LB3'ing when we still had some way to go and now we couldn't use LB3 for the instant revive. I agreed that the LB3 was badly timed but I reported the abusive person, as did two others. You can complain, but being abusive is never okay.

    I do think it would be very nice if the game implemented a system where, should someone who was new to the dungeon be in the duty, you were unable to engage with the enemy during the time that a cutscene is in effect. This means you couldn't even log out and come back in and engage (I know people do this at times) - the target would simply not be able to be attacked. If this could be done (and again, only to trigger when a new player bonus is in effect) then I think it'd save everyone a lot of wasted breath.

    I think biggest normal 4 man dungeons is Stone Vigil and Toto-Rak. But other than that yes.
    That sounds right; For cutscenes I think the final dungeon of Heavensward has a bit of a cutscene to show who the final boss is, with another cutscene as it goes into final phase. I wanna say post HW the devs have been smart about lengthy cutscenes.

    But.. there aren't 1-2 minute boss introductions with "bosses roaring at the screen". Nobody wants that to be longer.

    Any boss that has anything longer than a 5 second intro has relevant/story important things going on (like Fractal Continuum or Toto-Rak) and even then these are rarely in that 1-2 minute mark.

    Before I start off, I wait for watchers myself. However I've had people pull when I watched cutscenes a few times before but I didn't mind at all. Because ultimately in the end, I don't really miss anything other than a mob or two, etc. Which is no big deal but for others, they act like Neymar and take it way out of hand. It is a form of courtesy but seriously, you're not missing much.

    Except that it is because now you come out of a cutscenes into the middle of what might be a mechanic that requires you to be on the other side of the room and die. So yes waiting for everyone to be ready is making sure everyone is on the same page.

    At a certain point the Devs need to take the blame for putting lengthy cutscenes in party content, but more importantly, they need to stop doing it. They can talk about their regrets regarding CM and Prae, but Dalriada, which just recently released, has about an 80 second cutscene before the final boss.
    You do know that most groups who want a speedy Dalriada will use the PF, right? If you're spamming it and entering it without a like minded group then yes you run the chance of getting a first timer in there. Or a person who doesn't have the skip already seen once cutscene box checked and yes there are people who haven't. If at the start of the run it gives the there's a new person message then guess what? They probably want to watch the cutscenes. Course I shouldn't be too surprised that people have zero chill when it comes Dalriada since people who had already done it a few times weren't waiting for the various others who just got to it on day one. Let alone the rest of the first week.

    The key part of going into a dungeon is to experience the dungeon, especially when you are there for the first time. On the very rare occasions there are long cutscenes, the majority of them are about to take you into a key fight. We're paying to play a story-focused video game. This means that you should get to experience the story, and the gameplay, at the time it was intended to be experienced. If it were just trash mobs it's not too big a deal, although if the cutscene is long enough that you are now left behind completely (hi, Praetorium). However, generally speaking, the longer cutscenes are before a boss fight, often a notable character in the plot.

    I don’t think you even know what you’re trying to say here any more. DR is pretty much only used to level up people’s characters and will continue to be used for that. So yeah even if you for a minute long cutscenes in a leveling dungeon there will be and endless stream of people using them to level alternate jobs. MSQ roulette proves this. You can sit there and pretend it’s going to be the end of DR all day long but as long as people get good experience for doing DR they will continue to use it.

    You’re whole tirade about players only using MSQ to level makes absolutely zero sense since that’s all people are using most of the DRs for as it is.

    You’re argument boils down to even though people use MSQ to level they will stop using leveling dungeon roulette to level if we force 20-60 second cutscenes on them which is frankly ridiculous. They were the same arguments people used when unskippable MSQ was introduced and here we are. Turns out people will sit through cutscenes if they get rewarded for it. Fear mongering about people stopping the use of DR doesn’t really work when we’ve seen an extreme example otherwise.

    No it wasn’t. It was brought up in response to someone telling them to schedule their time better if they can’t wait an extra minute in a duty. OP brought up the whole job excuse first, as if it were some sort of justification.
