My point is that the "no activity" part should be the relevant factor here, not the free-to-play/sub60 part.

Boosted characters that sit at the same boosted ilvl after boosts should not be considered active characters.

So if we are counting subs do you count the people that are technically subbed to WoW but pay with a token from in game gold earned? Some people have not paid a sub in WoW for years but are counted as a sub. What is considered a sub literally means nothing these days to revenue.

Thats still considered an active sub due to how Tokens work. It seems like any post you make is to take eyes away from the numbers and math from MMO-P and instead to "whataboutism" on WoW.

I was a avid player of WoW for 18 years or however long it has been online. But let's be clear about something....WoW only has the success it has cause it was the only good thing around at this time. But now that FFXIV is here I am not sure how people still want to play WoW. Classes are stale as hell. Same old abilities with Blizzard refusing to try anything fresh and inventive except for rental powers that as soon as people start to use and play then they are nerfing it to the ground.

But then what do I know, Anima grind got wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to damn boring for me. I now can't stand the game and am loving the fun I am having in FFXIV. Anyone who wants to keep trusting devs who barely even want to turn a ear to it's players....well good luck to them. But I have been slowly seeing a decline in players leaving WoW. I for one would love to see them Fail. It will knock the devs off their high chair in not listening to their player base.

Burnt yourself on extreme Anima grinding huh? Been there, done that. I just realized that there wasnt any reason to do it after hitting Renown cap then just chilling.

Have no reason to unlock all of the mission table.
Some of the outfits look gross -- so easy avoid.

I personally don't care if FFXIV "surpasses" WoW. Having the largest game population doesn't make the game more fun to play. In fact, I think that's part of the problem with WoW. Too many people.

What a joke it'll never surpass WoW

The addicts WoW has will die eventually... right? Right now I see a lot of people shifting over to ff but so many are just so addicted and can't let go of the past, Blizzard could crap in their hands and they would still buy their next expansion and a 6 month sub.

FF4 is a better game. Has likable characters and has a simple yet decent story. And isn't a western medieval tower defense anime.
