I never once denied that my not using an essence slows down the raid. On my own it won't amount to much but half and half, sure it will take longer. My point is I don't give a damn how long that DR takes me. I will do what is enjoyable for me, thus if I have one I use it.. if I don't I won't and I am not gonna buy them when I am busy trying to hit my first 100mill gil. People say I am looking for a carry to though and I am not. If not a single person in my duty run uses an essence... I am ok with that xD It will take however long it takes. I know when I hit the button to go into the duty it could take 45mins or so. And I don't complain and berate others for it's speed. Some people are perma dead with their essence, while me without never dies. I am "'speeding things up' more than they are.

I have said many times at this point. I have no problem. People wanting a faster clear do have a problem and the PF groups are the solution. You will never get a super fast run consistenly in duty finder. First timers are there, people who have lower capabilities in general are there. It is stupid to go in and then get mad that people are not doing what u want to get you a fast clear, esp where you have an avenue to get the efficient farm you need.

You point out that not everyone has a great amount of time. That much is true! But if you don't have 45mins to do the duty, don't que for it! Your or others lack of time is not my problem to solve. I own that as you say. I don't lose my sh*t in a league of legends match when the game goes long, because I know it can happen and it is MY responsibility to manage my time properly. When I do eventually get to a point where I feel I just want to bang out those runs I will go into PF and use the essences I have for the various jobs I have em for. I would say the bare minimum of respect is my doing my best to do my dps rotation, keep my party alive as healer and not afk and leech or do grief pulls what have you. I have work, studies, a very excitable dog as well as an elder to care for. I am a busy girl! But I don't go into content via duty finder if I am not sure I will have the time for it.

I'm not morally superior. But I am pointing out that people have the option to make the runs better for themselves, people are responsible for their own time and they cannot do a damn thing to change how others act and calling them leeches, trolls etc is pointless. Even if the moaning encouraged a few people to use those essences, it is not done for the right reasons, shaming people for not playing how you want them too is a douche move.

I wasn't calling you out specifically in any of that It was in response to your:

We get it but people don't want to own it. You admitting its not fun and you don't want to do it is entirely valid its when you start getting people who will hide and hide and once you eventually boil them down they'll finally admit they just don't care.

If you don't want to farm just say you don't want to farm because it's not fun and you don't care. If you don't want to buy clusters just say you don't want to buy clusters because they're personally not worth my gil and currently are getting in the way of my goal to save gil. These are all valid opinions and choices to have and to hold. You don't want to do it that's fine.

What's not fine is when people start pretending essences don't make or break how long a DR run will be, diminish the value of them due to their ignorance, constantly use mental gymnastics and flawed logic to try and bend a conversation in their favor, and run themselves and other people in circles with absolutely no evidence to back their claim simply because they don't like to own the reality of what their choices entail.
