It's not fun to be bad/playing poorly. It's like being proud of a participation trophy.

My dps is fine, I enjoy myself. Whether you find how I play fun is irrelevant to me. I can clear whatever content I go to do comfortably. But imagine being proud of having the biggest dps in an online game. Ultimately it means nothing. It has less value than a participation trophy.

Dude if you're not using something easy to come by that increases your output by 60% your DPS isn't fine.
What's wrong with people being proud of themselves though if they're putting effort into what they're doing? What's with people trying to shame others for enjoying efficiency in this thread?

I won't clap back if they and you would stop trying to do exactly what you are whining about? You and every other is trying to shame people for not using the essences. If I have to sit miserable and bored doing cluster farm or spend the money I am trying to save. That is not easy for me to come by is it? What is easy and relaxing and enjoyable is to go into the duty with friends and get the clears. I enjoy being able to save someone from messing up a mechanic with rescue. Or saving them with bursty heals if rescue is on cd etc. Enjoy being efficient all you want. But don't sh*t on others for enjoying a more chill time, not doing the utmost dps and then bitch if u get clapped back at?

The amount of people teasing and trolling OP in the start of the thread and the amount whom throughout the thread have put people down for not using the essences. Don't try and act as though they are poor poor victims when they are actively trashing other people for how THEY play.

I don't get what's so hard to get a few essences? You use one and it's gonna stay until you change class or leave the instance.

The problem that you don't understand that content like DR requires a lot of focus in order to keep track of what's going on around. The longer you spend time on killing stuff, the longer you have to stay focused. In a long run it is very exhausting.
Essences are a free damage buff that would change nothing in terms of your gameplay, but will decrease the time you need to clear a duty, AKA the faster it dies, the less mechanics it uses, the easier it is for you.
*But it's just a game* just doesn't work nowadays with how much people invest into gaming. You and me can play the same game but enjoy different stuff within it. I enjoy giving my best in whatever content I do, you enjoy... well, whatever you enjoy.
The effort part that you want to cover as *life and death* can be translated into simple respect for those who you got into a party and their time. Not everyone can spend hours to play because of their own reasons. And from here I can reverse your point of gathering 23 people back at you by saying just go get 23 people and run it as slow as you want.
You say you don't have time to farm essences yet you have time to run DR for hours. Doesn't add up here.
You owe nothing to anyone but respect of their time if you run with randoms. If you just want to stay lazy and just sit on everyone else's back, please stay away from group content, it is disrespectful.

it's not disrepectful at all. I allot myself enough time to run this and that if I go do something outside of that then it takes more time. I don't mind if I have to stay focus I have a lot of patience that is what I am saying. So if your saying that those people that don't have time and need to rush it. Then shouldn't they manage their time to do so like find a group of like minded individuals? Welcome to the human world where everyone has different agendas and playstyles. I mean I just got my weapon yesterday with no muss or fuss why can't people be like that then....this.

I could clear the content without you. You and the rest are carrying nothing. You feel slighted because we don't play to make things faster for YOU. Why should I? Who exactly are you to me and why should I give a damn? Nobody. If every person in the raid didn't bother using an essence we would clear just fine. Esp now many of us have stacks of medals to up our dps even more. You are not needed, you are not carrying anyone. You make the runs faster! Yes absolutely. But don't act like you are some poor sacrifice for my benefit, woe is you carrying me. I asked nothing of you, I don't care if you are using an essence, I don't care if you spent half the run dead because you can't do the mechanics well. I care that I had a nice time in the duty. That's it.

People like you should stay away from group content. The less players with your mindset come to DF or PF, the faster runs will get. No offense. "Why should I care for anyone if no one cares about me!" - it all always starts with You. If YOU start using essences and bring effort, others will too.
