And as a healer I rarely, if ever, heal a DPS who pulls ahead of the tank. For me, it's not that the tank can't handle it. All they have to do is hit one AOE ability and the mobs re-focus on them. It's that I just think it's rude. The tank sets the pace for everyone. And believe it or not, some tanks aren't comfortable with really large pulls. They could be playing an alt or it might be their first time in that particular dungeon.

If you are unhappy with the way the tank is playing you can either ask them to pull more, initiate a vote kick and hope it passes, or just leave. The fourth option of just running ahead and pulling is asking for death if I'm the healer. 'Cause I damn sure am not healing you if you do that. I may not even rez you. True story.

Hope you know what you're doing!

I kind of agree and disagree with that, I don't think it's up to the tank alone to set the pace of the dungeon, as 3 people asking the tank to pull more and the tank refusing is IMO just as bad as a healer refusing to do anything but curebot or a dps deciding not to AOE.

Tbf it sucks to have a dps pull for you, but if you end up biting off too many mobs because the dps decided to add an extra pack you have to grab off of them, then it's the dps' fault for trying to set the pace to something unsustainable and causing a wipe.

But that being said, if a dps is being rude and pulling the entire dungeon for the tank because they're impatient, then nothing wrong with not giving them priority on heals and forcing them to survive off of whatever aoe heals you throw out that happen to be things meant to sustain the tank.
