You're assuming that everyone arrived there at the same time and everyone left at the same time, and that there are no new people arriving at the fate.
Lol not surprised at this forum always arguing using their emotions and outrage instead of their brain.

You are also assuming the other way around.
Also, you post this:
Then drop this on the same topic:
The most fun part is that you used: "if they get gold they did enough" as an argument. Any tank can get gold with no effort, particularly in boss fates.

I'm not. That's what I see in most FATEs. There are always new people arriving at the FATE, because not everyone was at the same place. That's not a huge leap of logic.
In case you haven't understood, they mean the exact same thing. You're hiding under the pretense that what people are doing isn't inefficient(which if you think about it for a bit, it's obvious that it isn't) when instead you're arguing out of outrage and some deep seated fear that you'll be enable to complete your FATEs because everyone will leave. Leeching complexes shouldn't be fed. If you can't get Gold yourself when others leave, it's all on you.
The most fun is that you think tanking isn't doing anything. I better not catch you ever complaining about tanks not using cooldowns, because apparently they're automatic or something.

This is my instance on this topic. All of this:
Is your own fabrication. You're hiding under the pretense that what people are doing isn't inefficient(which if you think about it for a bit, it's obvious that it isn't) when instead you're arguing out of outrage and some deep seated fear that you'll be enable to complete your FATEs because everyone will leave. Just because you recently discovered that tanks need to use their CDs does not mean I'm unfamiliar with general game mechanics.

As anyone can see: all emotion, no logic and arguments. "I dislike what you're doing so I wish ill upon you."
You know jealousy is a deadly sin, right?
I might have recently discovered them according to you only, but it seems you are completely unfamiliar with them, given how easily you devalue them.
Again, all your posts are based on all emotion, no logic.
You know those memes of a guy crying, telling others what not do and being fun police? That's you right now.

Definitely a better solution since just removing your FATE credit if you move too far away invites all of kinds of trolling potential. Some of it is entirely accidental too. If you've done any HW farming, you'll find BLU spamming Ram's Voice right where enemies spawn. If you move a hair too far, you'd lose all your credit despite being right on top of the FATE. Some type of 30 second warning at least allows you to correct for it.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."

And there are tons of FATES where the mobs literally spawn OUTSIDE of the fate area.Definitely a better solution since just removing your FATE credit if you move too far away invites all of kinds of trolling potential. Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

You are a bad actor. You're lying to my face here telling me that no one is going to tell anyone what to do when the entire point of this thread is to tell other people what to do.
Personally, when I engage in a FATE, I see it through to completions because its in my nature, and would drive me utterly insane if I did leave it earlier for whatever reason. I do it because someone has to. I do it because its courteous to others staying behind to finish it. And I do it because (surprise!) there WILL be another FATE just a hop skip and jump away once the one I'm on is completed. Yes, I get it, "the creed is greed", "gotta go fast", and "get all the things as fast as humanly freaking possible." But not everyone is of that mindset. No, I'm not going to tell anyone at all what they should or shouldn't do, stay or go, whatever... but when I'm left to finish a FATE all by my onesie in the home stretch (which slows to a painfully slow progress), you can bet your bottom gil that I'm cursing the names of those that flitter off to the next one prematurely.
Of course, I'm certain there are very few early leavers that care, but c'est la vie.
