Definitely. I'm going towards that direction too... kicking RNG out of the question asap to secure the remaining quality.Something I've found useful is mapping out your thresholds to finish the craft rng-free.
As a rough example, at my stats if I'm one Focused Synth from completing the craft and have at least 25300 quality, 45 Dura and 236 CP (224 if you can finish with Basic Synth), the craft is finished and I should stop digging or messing around with any rng. Similarly if I have 60 Dura available, 15104 quality and 308 CP (296 if you can finish with Basic Synth) the craft is done.
Those are just numbers in work as I figure the most efficient finishers, but you get the idea. You can even macro your "finish off craft" button since Poor doesn't exist.
19/20 of the last batch came out Max Quality, so definite improvement.

Yep. You can still get screwed in the beginning (like getting 1 Pliant proc in 60 steps) when you're building stacks, but if you can get to 11 with a good amount of CP left, you can basically finish it off using Inno + Basic/Prudent/Prep Touches depending on what durability things you got rolling.
I find Focused fairly useful too, Focused Touch + Prudent is a 5 durability gain over Prep and a little more power.
For example, Strides -> Inno -> Observe -> Focus Touch -> Prudent x2 -> Strides -> Inno -> Prep -> Prudent -> Strides -> Brygots ...is around 47500 quality @2500 control for 296 CP/55 Dur. I'm sure there are better, but that one has served well.
Speaking of Focused has anyone tried using that instead of Hasty when Centered is up? Though it'd definitely be a big gamble for 18 CP.I find Focused fairly useful too, Focused Touch + Prudent is a 5 durability gain over Prep and a little more power.

I really like that finisher. I was using a slightly less efficient variant that required 16.1k quality with 51-60 durability but a bit more CP, around 314 i think. So thanks for the upgrade!I find Focused fairly useful too, Focused Touch + Prudent is a 5 durability gain over Prep and a little more power.

You're definitely right insofar that thresholds are what you gotta keep an eye out for, and having more than 1 is key because we all know RNG likes to throw us 10+ white orbs in a row, or no pliant or red until step 30 or failing centered rapid time and time again.
I'm curious to your opener; are you a Reflect or Muscle Memory type? I personally like Reflect but it comes with the caveat that after the veneration opener you could be at 10 durability with maybe 1 rapid successful...
I'd like to see how people create more efficient openers now that the finishers are beginning to make waves.
I tried it a few times as a way to get to 11 stacks with more durability, but it eats your CP. I usually RS on blue until 1 careful synth away then use HT or simply ignore once I am at a Quality/CP threshold but need durability for finisher(s)
I've been focusing on culinarian... not interested in first place or anything, but want to be in the top 12 so I can relax after this week. The first place Cul on our sever gained over 193k points in one day. If he managed to hit 60k+ on every craft (which I doubt), thats around 241 crafts. At an average of 5 min per craft, that's 20 hour straight of crafting. Dude is either a beast or found a way to game the system. Lol.
Someone on Bahamut has over 2.3 million points in Alchemy. I'm not even sure how that's physically possible, even if you're crafting 24/7.

I prefer Reflect, it's just more consistent for me. Muscle Memory can make sense if you have plenty of mats or don't mind paying for however many you need, if you fail to land a Rapid on Ven/MM you can just quit and try again with little time lost. But Reflect gets you a very high rate of Max Quality anyway.
I don't use Veneration with Reflect at all personally.
Most of my Centered go towards Rapid, then I'll hope to reach a safe threshold. Gambling with 18 CP feels unnecessary for the small potential gain.
As for your Cul, remember you get something like 1200 points for max quality. Still a bonkers amount of time xD

+529243 last day, that's a perfect craft every 3.2 minutes (factor in hand-in time and maybe 3 minutes tops) with no breaks whatsoever o.O
