    Feedback on Expert Recipes:

    I was messing with them a little, and I have to admit, they are definitely a lot harder than regular crafting! That is awesome, and makes a lot of vet crafters happy! I know it makes me happy, lol.

    My only issue with all of this, is that Expert Recipes are basically a useless Gil sink. You spend your gil on the items, (because it’s more convenient for hardcore players to sit there and camp near the marketboard and just buy the mats) and then, you get your points. You wait until the 10 days are over....

    And then you get....a title? Not even some expert recipes exclusive glamour you can sell? Not just that, but the leaderboards are set up so when you get top 100, it removes you so you can’t win ever again.

    In conclusion: The difficulty is great, this is a good direction they chose to go in, and should be incorporated in future recipes that can be sellable through marketboard. There is really no benefit for vet crafters to do this however, other than a title anyone can get if they learn how to craft efficiently. I mean Jesus...we cant even get a CUL pan mount that flies? You are basically just wasting your gil for something you get no substantial reward from. I personally will not be doing them if there is no substantial reward, as I feel my time as a crafter is just being wasted.

    No benefit to doing them, but impressed with the difficulty they bring, and the potential it could have for certain future recipes that aren’t locked to Ishgard only.

    Saw a picture of the mount...looks like airplane with legs and a head lol. Share the feelings though rewards are udnerwhelming even though I personally am not crafting them. Hope SE up's it further for the hardcore community in the future..

    Careful Observation is incredibly useful in them.

    If for some reason someone had delineations in their pocket, having 3 free steps is pretty invaluable.

    I like the difficulty but the reward needs to reflect that, maybe ability to craft sell able minions, unique titles or tools that has same stats of normal tools but unique bonus, "increase chance to proc Good/excellent" ect.

    I think they are putting the RNG in the wrong spot. Having the RNG here in status conditions means you can use a basic priority list to push 50k+ and with good RNG hit 60k+ which means they're not really difficult, just different and RNG dependent. I think difficult would be prioritizing independent strategy, e.g. every week status conditions at each step are fixed, so you then have to build a rotation around them that maximizes their benefit in order to succeed. And the leaderboard should not be grind-based.

    As-is, you can do these with a very simplistic approach using only a handful of abilities and with RNG easily hit 60k. I wouldn't call that "expert" honestly. For instance, the more turns you take, the higher the probability that you get a favorable status, so just using 50+ steps guarantees success. If you had only 35 steps to do the craft and had to work around statuses, you'd have to get clever and not lucky.

    I think rotation optimization and undergeared leveling remain more difficult than this.

    I'm going to call it what it is. It's Hasty Touch 2.0.

    They brought back Diadem gathering, might as well have everyone's favorite part of the crafting process too, right?

    I haven't done much with it yet, but yeah, it seems simple enough. Patient Touch or Rapid on Centered, you go from a coin toss to a 3/4 chance of progress. Stall for Pliant for durability recovery. Sturdy under Waste Not gives... Unusual durability numbers. Pray for Goods on your big quality hits as usual. Always be attempting them as a Specialist and burn your three delineations to reroll for a more favorable condition.

    But alas, this is XIV, where anything less than 100% should still be treated as a near 0%. Rapids will fail. Pliants won't come while you're in critical need of replenishing durability. That useless Normal or Sturdy won't budge no matter how many delineations you eat. You will hit 11 IQ more easily than you ever have before, but turning that into the minimum of 4500 collectability, never mind 6000 for the full 800 points will take every drop of CP, patience, and luck you have. The mere concept of a "crafting rotation" will crumble away and emerge as chaos incarnate before your eyes. And you're going to be wishing you had Reclaim back right about... Now.

    Expert Recipes are definitely meant to put the fear of Master Recipes back in us, in an age where even those can probably be semi-reliably macroed with outdated gear and melds. If Masters were Crafting Extreme, this is Crafting Savage. And I mean, I can't say we didn't ask for it... But RNG *on top of* Over 9000 Difficulty and 60k Quality might be a bit much.

    Then you run some inventory space triage (that's my REAL gripe here, but that's another thread), go back out there, and wait out the next weather cycle to grab enough mats to do it another 6-7 more times.

    I totally agree with OP about rewards.

    For me It isn't as that hard, its changeling, yes.

    After few hours of crafting, I understand it well, and its enjoyable for me

    RNG? If I can observe it for "days" it becomes a tool for Green Lights, and other procs - its about using it right.

    This system sucks, what is the point to it other then RNG. Not sure we high crafters have been asking for this at all. What is fun about RNG crafting. Idk why some few people talk about crafting like they can make it into a raid. If you have the right gear it will be ez that is normally just how it is with crafting. I rather NOT have crafting be like a lottery ticket that it decided whether or not to screw me out of hard earned material and gil.

    This, so much. If i craft smt irl stuff doesnt suddenly explode just for fun either.... if i got the gear i can make it, if i know the process, nothing wrong with that.
