Anyone know what the rewards for this even is? Just a title?
In any case I've settled on a method that seems to work much better than the hasty spam I was originally doing. "Reflect -> Manip -> Veneration -> 2x Rapid Synth -> Groundwork -> Basic Synth". Essentially I give myself until the end of the first Manip to get myself 1 Basic Synth away from completing the Progress of the craft. Now it isn't set in stone. If I get a good right after reflect i'll take it with ToT and after Manip if I get a Centered i'll hit Patient Touch and double my Inner Quiet stack. Then if I get a Pliable i'll use it on Groundwork to halve CP costs and any Centered will go to Rapid Synth. The downside is the RNG from Rapid. It needs to land twice out of three possible attempts. If it fails twice i'll just quit the craft and start over immediately.
Once that is done i'll hit Prudent Touch until Manip falls off, taking any goods with ToT, and any Centered's with Patient Touch until I get 11 stacks(though I stop trying to use it once I reach 8 stacks as the reward isn't worth the risk of a fail). Once I get 11 inner quiet stacks i'll start using only Prudent Touch combined with Innovation. Any goods during the Innovation will get a Precise Touch instead of ToT. Once Manip falls off i'll use another until my CP starts getting low. Any left over durability i'll just use with Hasty Touch and finish the craft fishing for a Good for Byregot's with Delineations.
Doing this I can finish about 13 expert crafts every 30 minutes where about 50-60% of them are maxed out completely.

Ya, I'm not a fan of it after all. It's decent efficiency, but it's less useful in practice as it reduces the # of procs you can dig through, and I think getting red/green just outweighs it. I might use it once or twice if I'm ~10 stacks, but I think using more precise on red will fix that. Additionally, I tend to hasty when I need to make that gamble / low on cp, so efficiency kinda only goes so far. I think if I wanted to get a more efficient result I'd cut out rapid somehow, but without swapping to MuMe. On paper, groundwork still looks terrible though. Yesterday I had a craft that took 27 rapids to complete 3. It still ended up at ~6.1k due to a lucky delineation but cmon now.
I wonder if it would be possible to create a system which was a bit less reliant on rng.
For example, if Hasty Touch was 100% success but efficiency was random between 1-100% and only available on Normal condition, or if Rapid was 75% success but 250-500%, or if Patient Touch had a strict requirement on usage timing (like only on Good while IQ is 5 or below, adds +3 IQ). We could even get a few abilities unique to Expert. Obviously just random ideas that would need adjusting. Quality and Progress could be adjusted if necessary
I can't see it changing the thought process too much, it would have some variance, but we wouldn't fail 9 HT in a row or Rapid on Centered 4 times for nothing.
From what I've been reading in Discord the bots have gotten a bit more sophisticated, so people are thinking it might be that. Or multiple people working on one account.
Still don't need that high a number, though. 500k is plenty to get top 12 and then you can work on other jobs.

If you can max every time, that's 1,260 points. So to get 2.3 mil points, that's about 1825 crafts. Lets assume they takea bout 5 minutes to craft. (2.5 average action time, 80 average steps, including time for menus and occasionally restocking on mats.)
That's 152 hours of crafting.
Allowing up to 2 hours of sleep a day, that leaves about 15 minutes a day for a break if a single person were to do this.
By comparison I think you get, what, 37 for a max regular craft? Same methodology as before, lets assume they do 1 craft a minute, and have infinite materials with which to work with. That's 62,162 crafts. At 1 minute a craft, including the time it would take to turn in (A single macro is 15 actions, and these are single macroable), it's around 1036 hours.

Yeah, there's no way someone did it on their own. Has to have multiple people doing. They'd be collapsing from exhaustion and starvation. If you can max every time, that's 1,260 points. I think your math is off and also this is well known jp player for chasing solo potd; one of the few Necromancer players.
1237 point is max also. ~1974 craft at minimum.
As the ranking were locked in at maintenance hour, it is about 6.8 days? of active time available, so ~163 hours.
on Twitter, the player says they are averaging 40k/hr, which makes for only 61 hour of playtime required.
That is also ~33 craft/hr which is faster than my own capability.
I think I am closer to 25k/hr +-, mostly due to lack of focus. I keep tabbing out of game...
But even going at my rate, 2.4m is quite attainable within that time period, including sleep.
If you allot 48 hrs for sleep (8hr/d), left 115hrs, result is only 17 crafts/hr which is below average.
Given ppl may skimp on sleep and this player may have much more efficient method to reach 40k/hr if that is true, it seems quite reasonable, if a bit baffling why they went all-in on alchemist alone.
40k/hr is a craft every 1.8 minutes. I just can't see that being possible with expert recipes as they are.
