We are PAYING for a service. If we make a reasonable request that the devs can implement, and enough support is had for it, WHICH HAS BEEN THE CASE, then it's well within our rights to ask for such things. There is virtually no reason to deny this request. Release normal mode early by a week, that affects nothing. People can still hit the ground running on savage, should they wish, and it also allows people who want to do normal mode for the cutscenes to do so as well. They LITERALLY made the MSQ roulette unskippable so that people can enjoy the story for it, they clearly care that people watch the cutscenes and involve themselves with the story. This is the same kind of conservative ideal that, "just deal with it, I don't want YOU to have it, so you can't have it!"
It's tired, old, and archaic.
Nothing is wrong with releasing crafting lists early so people can prep for it. By releasing the crafting early and normal modes, all that want to do savage at release for week 1, can do so. Even those that don't care about crafted gear, which, by the way, people have to forfeit their time to craft for those people anyways, denying them any chance to participate if they wanted to...to craft when BY RELEASING THESE THINGS EARLY would avoid all of this.
I'm done. If you want to be stubborn, old, archaic, and making an argument that doesn't need to exist, then do so. People who argue against this are wrong. Full stop. No one is hurt by this, only helped.
"Just deal with it" IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. "Just accept it" IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. "It's always been this way" IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. It's outrageous, and any injustice or wrong that's ever been would still exist, if people "just accepted it".
Products and services improve when customers demand a better model and method of delivery of those goods. Stagnation IS NOT GOOD
