The world first race is a legitimate community-run activity that the devs support. Yoshi P gives shout-outs and congratulations to winning teams.

Even if NM releases on the tuesday and savage releases on the thursday, thats enough time to do NM.

Personally, I support this change because the rush to savage means I don't get to see reactions from content creators I like because they are "forced" to skip the content in favour of the world first race.

Try seeing NM as a gate blocking people from doing savage. When savage is the thing you want to do immediately, you lose out on enjoying NM for its own sake.

Nice cherry picking. Now allow me to quote the actual context of that post you conveniently left out.

How does that make sense? If Savage were released a week later, people would have time to do the story should they choose, craft and essentially get preparation done without having to rush everything. Those "first wave problems," as you put it, only exist because the second and third Savage tiers come out alongside Normal mode. They don't with the first tier, which is why many raiders have been requesting this delay.
This clearly referred to raiders who both want to watch the story and raid week one. Presently, we do not have that choose as we either have to skip story to prioritize Savage or lose a day. Lambdafish also brought up a good point. I don't have a choice to skip Normal mode entirely. I have to go through it to unlock Savage. So even using your nonsensical "logic". It's still wrong.

That all being said, an easy compromise—if we actually needed one—would be to unshackle Savage and Normal mode. Just put a NPC with a warning prompt that tells players they are unlocking Savage and may not understand the full context. Bam. Now Normal mode and its story don't interfere with Savage. Nevertheless, I still think a small delay would be a better alternative but the aforementioned is still an option.

Ultimately, you only care about your preference and how this effects you though. The irony is you've contradicted yourself since if you only aim to do content leisurely, delaying Savage a day, two days or a week wouldn't impact you in the slightest. In other words, you're screeching into the abyss just to be heard.

Cherry picking out of context? It very much is in context. Clearly.

Side note, Id support the unlocks being seperate to negate this whole "I have to skip NM cutscenes cause reasons" dilemma

How this thread has been going on for 15 pages is beyond me.

What is there to argue about ? As long as the Savage raids are available for everyone at the same time, how is it an issue that they're delayed of a week ?
Is it because you like the idea of having less competition for the first server clear or something ?

I mean, i personally don't care if they're delayed or not. If i had to wait one more week, i would be fine. Each update should have enough stuff to keep everyone busy for at least a week anyway, so i don't see what's the big deal ... I must be missing the point of the "anti-delay" side.

    Meh.

Its actualy a bit more interesting to see each team putting their strategy in to motion ASAP, having two team dedicating themselves at the same time, one who start the progress with the raid and the one rushing to get the better gear ready the faster possible, when pattern from normal mode are still fresh. With one week notice, everybody will be geared the same, every moves will be analyzed and team more prepared to destroy it even faster.

I mean, yeah sure you can't enjoy the rest of the patch at your own pace, but hey world first is about dedication and skill, competition is a cruel world, if you are not ready to press the skip button to go faster you're not ready at all.

Slightly niche point of view, but what if there is a particular streamer whose reaction to the NM story I want to see? Now I get thats on the streamer to provide content that I enjoy, but its also on SE for not allowing content creators to participate in the world first race and enjoy NM for their viewers.

Guys, we're going about this wrong: just say that we want to "Release normal mode early" instead of "Delay savage". The unreasonable people won't tell the difference

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I'm quite sure you can find stream of world first down contender if you wish so and you know what I'm pretty sure you can watch both and not miss anything thanks to replay. Will the same person be able to do both ? No, life is about choice, you're not twelves years old anymore. You can't expect a company to cater to every whim. Lets not make this already short competition even more shorter and bland, as I said people who can't concede and make sacrifice aren't ready to compete for a first wolrd down anyway.

World first racers don't craft their own gear/food/pots, they have dedicated teams on the side that do these things for them while they push into the tier as hard as they can without them.

Thats what I said, two team dedicated to a same project, the fighter and the crafter working together to grasp the victory first.
