How anything of this could be solved if Savage was postponed one week? It would be the same situation... just one week later. As someone who is PFing, if you miss the first week, even the first day, you've lost any chance at all to at least try the fights blind and work the mechanics out. I didn't get to start raiding this week till Thursday and despite labelling the party as a blind learning, we had people put waymarks down and explain stuff within one pull.
Because as others have said, many people are too busy on the first day Savage comes out crafting, trying to rush through all the content after they finish work or have other commitments that stop them being able to enjoy all the content that comes out on day 1. If you only care about Savage raiding then sure, maybe it's not a big deal to skip the other things this game has to offer, but a lot of people play this game because it's Final Fantasy. They want to enjoy the story. By having Savage come out on the same day as a bunch of other things, you're forcing some people to make a choice that doesn't need to exist.
Regarding spoilers for stuff, well yeah, I'm not saying spoilers aren't still gonna happen day 1, but the point is with Savage being on it's own release date, everyone has a chance to get stuck in sooner. The sooner everyone can start, the less they will get spoiled on things. When statics or PF raiders can't get started till a day or two later because other content/commitments, they get subjected to people who just want to explain all the mechanics without giving people a chance to enjoy it blind. People also might be less willing to spoil content when they don't feel like they're having to play catch up with the other groups/PF raiders who skipped all the other content to start straight away.
