Under ilevel 90 you'll get only CT or ST. WOD requires ilevel 90, Void ilevel 175, Weeping 205, Dun Scaith 235. Orbonne requires an ilevel of 365 so no idea how you're getting Monestary in your bday outfit.
I have a character on Balmung who is a skipper. I jumped her recently given i wanted a Viera there. The only duties I've unlocked for her atm are CT, ST and WOD. Now that CT is fairly easy to unlock those raids are pretty accessible. I've had characters where I started with Void and Weeping to unlock the roulette given the CT unlock was just too much of a pain to do. Unless you want to have all duties unlocked and cleared I see little reason for me at least to do them all on some of my alts.

Please nuke LotA and Syrcus from the roulette at this point. (I'm joking.)
I'm literally so sick of them, and it's part of a larger issue with people at endgame having absolutely no idea how to play their class or perform mechanics correctly. Gaming the system to avoid higher level content defeats the point of a roulette and the point of our roulettes - to keep old content active so people can get through them for story, achievements, rewards, etc. Having people constantly force LotA/ST popping because they don't want to put effort into playing the game is getting tiring. It's to the point I heavily consider dropping out when one of the two pops up every day.
I really implore the devs to implement some kind of stricter ilevel requirement for Alliance roulette and Leveling roulette.
That's why I asked for an exp buff for raids that usually take longer, over here http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...to-be-adjustedLast night, I got Orbonne in roulette, and one tank left. By the time we got to Cid, a new tank showed up and we finished the raid, and that's with several people being new. They're all relatively easy now, so I don't know why anyone would bother trying to limit what you get. It's people leaving (especially tanks) that actually makes any of the raids harder than they need to be, not the raids themselves.
Right now it's a bit more efficient to leave orbonne, do fates / afk for 30 mins and ilvl cheesing Syrcus than to clear Orbonne.
It takes 3x as long for the same rewards as Syrcus.
It IS unethical, its meant for us to fill the que for new players and ppl that farm stuff... thats the point of the roulet, or else que just for tower lol.Of course I do, and everyone who says they never done it is either a liar, or hasnt unlocked SB alliance raids yet :P Nice try making it look like I'm engaging in some kind of forbidden or unethical activity tho xD Go ahead, name and shame me for avoiding Orbonne Abandon Roulette, I can take it ^^
And no i never did it and most ppl I know neither.
Omg ^ this. Thank you for stating such. I queue 5/5 Ex Primals regularly for fun, as well as to simply help others new to the game, and cannot believe how many mentors land in there and immediately complain "why would anyone Duty Finder this, form a Party". These... "fake mentors" for lake of a better term will literally berate the newcomers for not using Party Finder instead.I've never done that because I accept that queuing for a roulette means I'm fine with running any content that roulette can put me in at my level. I get the reward for running the roulette because I'm willing to participate in the content I'm thrown in at random - and thats pretty obviously the way it was intended to be.
My response every time is "Why would you queue mentor roulette if you're not willing to accept what you're potentially getting yourself into". I strongly wish the Mentor Roulette either consisted of only Extreme content, or that there was in fact, a roulette for extreme content.
You are excusing it, inadvertently it or not. You claimed you were leveling jobs that level (if you were, fine), therefore you getting Lab/Tower means no one is exploiting an oversight, despite the numerous posts on this forum admitting such? Really, now?
And really, did you seriously think leveling jobs didn't occur to anyone as a possibility, at any point? Problem is, that is clearly not what is happening here, which is why people are irritated in the first place, hun.
Until/Unless they make the higher level raids worth more exp, then (some) people will continue to cheese it to get easy exp. There is no getting around it. People will choose the path that offers the biggest exp reward for the least time/effort. To make people stay in the ""challenging"" (read: you must pay some level of attention) raids, the exp reward would need to be significantly higher than doing 3~4 at-level dungeons, because that is less time and effort than it takes to clear Orbonne with an incompetent party, especially if you grab 3 friends and don't have to wait for queue.
"Hello, I'm auditioning for the role of Ser Aymeric de Borel, and I'll be singing Electric Chapel by Lady Gaga"
This sounds like an excellent suggestion to me. Roulette was introduced to be a party filler. This would accomplish that.
