    I think my character just internally wails when any of the NPCs insist on "coming along" to fight. Like, "Or you could stay inside and be safe instead?? I promise the outcome of this battle will be exactly the same whether or not you are there." /casually locking everyone in a sanctuary

    Agreed, not like they actually do much damage either. You can solo yours and by the time you go to help they have MAYBE like 10% off its health.
