The items within is exactly it, except it doesn't have to be literal item. So something that is part of something else fits as that something is what's included within that something else.

"Exactly it … but let's change the bits I don't agree with" is just you making up your own definition. It doesn't fly. What you're doing is intentionally making the meaning more vague to insert your agenda. Your definition is wrong.

By activity, I mean what you do as part of the content, not the fact that you are doing it. The mechanics of the raid is part of the raid content, and you do the mechanics as part of doing that content. The same way you do duty roulette as part of doing the tomestone content.

The mechanics, by which you mean, the enemy's attacks are a part of the content, sure. The doing of the mechanics, as in the avoiding of the enemy's attacks, is an activity you perform and is not a part of the raid's contents. Doing the duty roulette is an activity, not part of the content.
