Your reward remains what it always was: a title and weapon denoting you cleared the hardest content this game has to offer. UCoB and UwU will remain significantly harder than the entire Eden Savage series. They may not be as popular nowadays because people are focused on newer content, but to say they aren't relevant or insinuate the reward is laughable, is laughable in its own right. Frankly, it hurts the entire creditability of your thread despite my agreement there could be more level 80 content.

Yet the point remains that they added 2-3 more bosses and you are still unhappy. They will yet add the same this expansion too.

Yet you feel qualified to moan that there's not enough to do when, in fact, you've not even done all the content available.

Thanks for reminding us that savage is coming tomorrow. Perhaps if you read the thread you'd see we're already well aware.
Cool. So I expect you'll be too busy doing Savage to attack "casuals" for enjoying the game, at least.

Yes everyone would "like stuff". Its just incredibly apparent that overtime, one side of the scale has gotten significantly more, while the other side remains basically unchanged.
Except for the aforementioned Ultimate fights, which you haven't done, right?

Yes they've added more casual content and that is the focus of the game. Yes it's been happening for years. Yes it's helped to make the game popular and it's popularity is growing, not shrinking. That's Final Fantasy XIV. Sorry.

The "Yoshi P said take a break" is such a tired and played out excuse from people who are already getting what they want. We're at the beginning of an expansion. We should have plenty to do.
And here lies the rub. You've run out of content to do because what the game, and the majority of those who play it, consider content isn't the same as you.

We actually do have plenty to do. I don't have enough hours in the day for the game and I'm one of the lucky ones who is married to someone who also plays the game.

Have you ever considered that there may actually be quite a few people "getting what they want" from this game? Maybe it's just not the game you want it to be? Maybe another game is? Maybe it's WoW? Maybe that's ok too?

Sorry, but the formula is lazy and tired and after 6 years, and from what we're seeing here, a lot of people will be inclined to agree.
And from what we're seeing by subscription numbers, most would be inclined to disagree. Which barometer of public opinion do you think SE cares about most?

Sorry, dude, but you are wrong. Ultimate is not outdated content. They are never outdated—they are always relevant because the developers specifically kept the syncs to preserve the challenge of the content. Yoshida literally said this in an interview not too long before Shadowbringers dropped when an interviewer asked him about unsyncing them. He wanted to preserve the challenge and the prestige that went along with clearing them.

No reward? Your reward is a weapon and a title for a piece of content that not even 1% of the playerbase has cleared. That is your reward. And it is an achievement that is never invalidated because people cannot faceroll the content with unsync like they can everything else. It is always challenging.

Jobs not having a full kit? This isn’t like it’s syncing you down to level 50 where you have a handful of skills. You have most of your kit. Shadowbringers did not add much that dramatically changes gameplay for most jobs from level 70 to level 80.

No one is interested in doing it? I’m in an Aether-based Discord for Ultimates and I still get pings for reclears and prog groups. With Savage releasing soon, sure—most raiders will be taking a break from Ultimate to focus on the tier. But what are they going to do after they get Savage out of the way? Probably go back into it for:

—Clears, with regards to those who did not get their clear before the expansion dropped (my static has already discussed going into UCoB to get clears for 3 of our members)
—Reclears, with regards to those who want more weapons or a parse or whatever (I plan on getting some more UwU reclears because I want more weapons and I want a clear on DNC)

    This content isn’t dead content.

You’re claiming that this game lacks endgame content. Ultimate is endgame content. Your issue seems to be purely with “it’s not level 80, so that means it’s not endgame”. I can guarantee you that the Ultimate fights are more challenging than the tier that is about to release in two days. This isn’t meant to insult the new tier—but Savage is a step below Ultimate, and it always will be. Even “old, synced” Ultimates.

EDIT: I’m in agreement with ForteNightshade that these statements about Ultimate discredits your thread about this game lacking endgame content. Almost as much as your claim that you were BiS on jobs—

—when your GNB still has the i430 weathered weapon equipped according to your Lodestone, and a couple accessories from the expert dungeons (Earrings and Bracelet). If you were BiS, you’d have a Titania weapon and Innocence accessories with one Goetia ring. So, hey, lookie there! You have more to do still, it seems!

Level 70 or no, Ultimate will be more difficult than any endgame content level 80 can offer until the level 80 Ultimates release.

Well, I don't believe the reward does remains what it always was. You have to understand that by completing this content upon its patch release, you had the best weapon in the game. One that can be taken into further content into the next patch. Raiders LOVE a challenge and they LOVE being rewarded. Once the weapon is no longer best in slot, you are purely left with only aesthetics and as a raider, are less inclined to do the content.

I can concede being wrong on this one though - as this more of a personal preference.

Here's the shocker. End game isn't entirely Ultimate. Casual players LOVE to rest on the statistics for Ultimate because only a small percentage of players are able to successfully complete it. End game is also, Extreme's, Savages, Palace of the Dead Style dungeons. They are not the same. They are not as difficult as one another. To discredit a raider entirely, for not being able to do one small portion of the limited end game content we have, is incredibly short sided. I wouldn't discredit a casual player for choosing not to do chocobo breeding for example. Not all end game content is the same in the same way that not all side content is the same.

I'm not "attacking" anyone for enjoying the game or the content they choose to do.

Yoshi P has said himself, more raiders and coming to the game. The game as you've said, is increasing in popularity and its numbers. Why aren't even these funds being attributed to the type of content the growing portion of the players enjoy?

Thats great that players like you have plenty to do. But it stands to reason why you wouldn't want anything to change. You're getting exactly what you want.

Perhaps if you spent less facetiously saying "Sorry" and more time comparing and examining how little the other side has despite the games increased revenue, you might be more inclined to understand a little better.

Raiders STILL have their challenge when doing Ultimate, that's not going to change whatsoever with the sync in place.
    You have to understand that.
And most raiders don't raid for the "weapon".
They raid for the challenge and the bragging rights of having cleared said content.

This is true, raiders do love the bragging rights.

But I cling to the ideology that they'll always be more inclined to do whatever content will get them best in slot even more.

    But that's purely an opinion.

GNB is a side job, not something that I play outside of instant queues. I have no intention of playing it end game.

I main a red mage, and have BiS possible, both Titania Weapons, Innocence Drops, Tomes and whatever Eden gear we've been able to get thus far.

But your suggestion otherwise would be creditable.

WoW raiding has been in decline partly because Mythic plus is harder content, but better rewards are obtainable from overland content. This has pushed a significant part of the raiding community away. Bragging rights are a part of it, but it's important there's a reward as an incentive.

Absolutely. There's a reason that the weapons have stats when they release Ultimate.

Raiders love the incentive to get a reward that not only shows off their ability to clear most difficult content, but enhances it also.
