Once you get into ANY content that's slightly difficult tension starts to rise and sometimes tempers flare. That goes for PvE and PvP.It does suck not to be able to ask for advice but first of all people won't have time to write long advice sentences in the middle of pvp.
Secondly pvp environments foster an extremely toxic behaviour. As someone who came from plenty of pvp games i can tell you the Feast actually makes me saltier than the red sea. There are so many clueless people and no way to help them unless they go out of their way to find help which knowing this community... they most likely won't.
On the other hand I personally find it somewhat difficult to find any information about pvping in this game which is sad. Granted we're getting adjusted to the new changes...
I don't find pvp in this game to be THAT bad. It's kinda enjoyable if you don't take it too seriously. I can see how it falls apart nce you start min-maxing though.
Did pugs for all of HW/SB Ex/Savage runs without a static. It's very close.
See how that goes? This is a YMMV type of situation but you're choosing to ignore the fact that humans will human and some are just ass holes whether they PvE or PvP.
This isn't just a fact of gaming, it's a fact of life. All of "those" people aren't ass holes, just some in that group.
Replace "those" with whatever group of people you prefer and you can see how stupid that mindset is and how potentially dangerous it can be.

No it isn't, or else we'd have the chat disabled in savage, and I can assure you SE hasn't even considered it. People get more nervous and anxious when they lose against real people than when they can't beat an AI. From a scale of 1 to 10, a potentially rude person will bring levels 3 amount of toxicity when banging their head on the wall in a savage turn in a pug group. Put the same person in a PVP competitive environment in a scenario where they lose 250 elo and 7 matches in a row and I can assure you the level of toxicity will jump from 3 to 9.
Whatever though. I guess it's best to not even acknowledge that there is indeed a problem in the way people behave and react in PVP ranked scenarios and keep going along with it just fine. I couldn't care less because I no longer PVP and I haven't for a good amount of years, but I'd say it's in your best interest that this situation doesn't keep getting worse, or at this rate you'll be left with nothing but flamers because sane and polite people will keep leaving progressively.
I have to admit, as a very new player, I'd much prefer to have chat active than to try to figure out whether a bit of quick chat dialogue is meant as a friendly greeting or an "oh, not YOU again" bit of passive aggression.
I'm sure there will be folks saying terrible things, and it's easy enough to ignore people like that. But considering how often you see the same people in Feast, I'm sure someone would be inclined to give good advice if only because they'd like to win more than they lose.
The PVP forums and discord are good resources, but it's not quite the same as advice from someone who has just seen you make a fool of yourself and can tell you exactly where you're screwing up.
