The 8 or 9 weapon damage increase should increase healing by a large margin. Ilvl aside (a mere 30/40 more than 70), you should NOT be healing anything remotely comparable to what was at lvl 70.You'll need present more information because it's difficult to judge this appropriately without seeing how you're performing your tests.
I'm intending to do some tests on this once I hit 80 as I've seen this comment at least three times now. I'm currently theorizing people are comparing capped ilvl 70 healers versus minimum (or even under gear) ilvl 80 healers and that's where the values feel off even though it isn't. A better comparison would be a min ilvl 70 healer versus min ilvl 80 healer to just see how much growth has occurred. Obviously, we can't compare a capped ilvl 70 versus capped ilvl 80 because we just aren't at that part of the expansion yet.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
