Oddly enough I saw Urianger use some "Prophecy" ability (as an AST) that was basically a Benediction that filled me from damn near zero to full.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Never doubt Urianger's ability to see into the future.

As for the topic in hand? No, no, healing is not broken. White Mage has been perfectly fine for me, whether healing pugs or trusts. So far, my FC mates who are a bit ahead of me have been just fine in EX content too.

As it is, I'm planning to get ready for some Titania EX Runs myself, seems like it'll be fun with this new, nearly-endless mana pool.

    Methodology
Get ten Cure I data points and get that average in each expansion content that would be deemed "low tier" and "high tier" using min ilvl sync. It's a small sample but large enough to get a reasonably accurate average.Be sure to remove Echo in applicant content such as 8-man Savage raids.
    • The Soul of the Creator (Savage) [high tier Heavensward] which has a min ilvl of 255 resulted in a value of 5,786.5 per Cure
    • Ala Mhigo [low tier Stormsblood] which has a min ilvl of 280 resulted in a value of 6,302.9 per Cure
    • The jump from high end Heavensward to low end Stormsblood was a jump of 8.92%
    • Alphascape V4.0 (Savage) [high tier Stormsblood] which has a min ilvl of 380 resulted in a value of 12,381.6 per Cure
    • Currently, I just hit 80, got my AF gear [low tier Shadowbringer] and I have an ilvl of 418. My cures resulted in a value of 13,445.0 per Cure
    • The jump from high end of Stormsblood to immediate low end Shadowbringer was a jump of 9.47%

So, we did indeed get a minor increase in our healing potential in a similar vein that we jumped from the previous expansion. I also put a few more differences on my chart just for my own analysis and thoughts later, but it's there for people to see.

With the above notes, it seems the power curve is as intended.

This is also my point - let's not just work with "feels" and posters should be presenting any test data - let's be scientific and factual about our analysis so we can be unbiased with how healing has changed.
    13445-12381=1064, 1064/12381=8.5%

I've reviewed my numbers and that number in my post is a typo. It's actually 13,554.0 which does result in the 9.47% boost. You can see that value in my spreadsheet.

Even if the number was incorrect, it doesn't change the fact we still gained some value from the apex of Stormsblood to the lowest rung of Shadows Bringer.

I tried to make this point as well when this was brought up before and somehow it angered a lot of healers.

Healing isn't broken. It just requires better planning and play than before. And you can still DPS just fine other than huge pulls (which honestly, we shouldn't be able to ignore the tank on massive pulls anyway).

Not a healer myself, but as a Tank I can confirm bosses hit for mostly the same in endgame content. Leveling wasn’t as clear cut, but the only outlier I can think of is Innocence’s tank buster.

Hate to break it to you, but I'm DPSing for more than the tanks in Titania and Innocence ex. Titania in particular requires almost zero healing, the first entire minute of the fight can be done with an asylum placed on the ground prepull.

I have to agree with the people who say that currently for the extreme encounters healing isn't the main focus for them. From personal experience I spend more time dpsing during Titania EX than I do actual healing unless people ignore mechanics but that isn't the case very often.
Even during the tank buster phases you can pretty much keep dpsing if the tank uses their defensive abilities for those and stack.
