I main WHM and I don't think it is the same as before. It heals more and it's more versatile. What have changed is how you play it. You need to focus more on heals, you need to manage your mana more carefully and you need to put the new tools available with the expansion to good use. If you keep thinking like in Stormblood you will have a hard time. At least it is how I see it for my class. Now it is capable of more and imo more fun to play, but basically it is a different play style.

Really? 'cause it's been pretty much exactly the same for me more or less leveling it all through the story and such. Sure, there were a few times when the tanks were biting off more than they could chew or poorly geared, but in the 80 expert roulette? *yawn* feels like same ol' same ol' to me just minus Aero III and maybe a use of misery every 2-3 packs or so. I'd trade Misery for Aero III/Diaga(Dia II) any day.

"Then what is magic for?" Prince Lir demanded wildly. "What use is wizardry if it cannot save a unicorn?"
Schmendrick did not turn his head. With a touch of sad mockery in his voice, he said, "That's what heroes are for."

Uhm. Are we playing the same job? I don't have to carefully manage my MP (quite the opposite, if I don't forget to use Lucid for several minutes on end, I'm not running out of MP unless I die; I had to take more care, keep Lucid on CD, in Stormblood due to the higher CD on it and worse MP recovery), I don't have to play vastly different than before outside of using my heals after the tank ran out of CDs (which is getting far better as I and the tanks gear up), and even after they ran out if CDs, all I got to do is switch to healing in time, which isn't exactly hard. On boss fights like Titania or Innocence, it feels like even less changed; I dps most of the time and switch to healing only when necessary while playing mechanics, often healing on the run now since I actually, finally got tools for that. Guess the biggest change is me wasting lilies while there's nothing to attack for the blood lily... the only reason things feel a bit weak right now is gear limitations I think.

All in all, I changed very little compared to Stormblood, and people like you absolutely baffle me since I don't get why you would think so.
