I'm not even saying it's still a problem NOW. what I AM saying is those terms tripped alot of people up when it was new and that wouldn't have happened if it simply used left right up and down. Is it that hard to understand or do we need to call everyone a moron cause SE used out of date terms? It's not the players fault SE used something so out of touch and date. Heck when the japanese players get LEFT and RIGHT why couldn't we get that also? Is all I'm saying.
You don't need to KNOW what a mechanic's name refers to, just what it DOES, that's why even though the giant circle mechanic in final omega is called "Critical Overflow Bug" people refer to it as a "Defamation" even though it's LITERALLY not called that, because it behaves the same way that "Defamation" in Soul of the Creator: Savage (Alexander Prime A12s) behaves. People in this example are using something in TEXT guides for a fight mechanic that is not called a Defamation, because it's easy for them to explain it to otherss that way. So people are learning, and resolving a mechanic called "Critical Overflow Bug" in Final Omega, calling it a "Defamation" because that's what the text guide for the fight calls it... Even though IT IS NOT CALLED THAT.

Imagine that. Most PFs and players have no idea what the actual thing is called, and can resolve it by looking at a red dot and thinking mentally, "Oh, red dot, gotta run away" instead of processing, "Oh, Critical Overflow Bug... what was that one again??????? OH NO!"

Look at what the thing DOES rather than what it is CALLED. Your life will be easier for it.

I have literally NO IDEA what the Tsunami Debuff is called in Chaos/O9 but I know that if I get a blue thing on me, I will have a water donut around me when the thing ticks down.
