The reason we healers DPS

You talk about healer DPS like it's some kind of tradecraft. You don't even have to boil it down; from core to surface all it is, is something for healers to do during their downtime.

I should probably clarify, I know healer DPS is a simple matter. The thing that I consider tradecraft, something one can excel at, is the healing itself. I just equate it as part of pushing our DPS because using our heals efficiently is for the benefit of allowing us to contribute more to damage. Hence why the core of my argument is "We DPS because it's a way to utilize our healer skills to help the party further."
