Your argument defeats itself with the Live Letter reason for Hrothgar, though, since Yoshi-P even stated they don't know how much they will be played but they wanted to make them because the player demand was there.

That's literally what I said. It's not for the profits, it's for expanding player's choices. Every Potato can potion into some new race like Moogles and it still won't pay off from a money stand point if the team can't already handle the added stain and expenses.

A lesser player demand than the one we have now (in amount of people making noise for the missing genders). But that's one of those pesky things called facts that don't fit your narrative (seeing the Forum reaction, they may displace a lot of Roes and a small percentage of the other races, but there's no crystal ball to say how many will stay Hroth, add it to their regular Fantasia rotation, or try and drop. There's no crystal ball to say how many will change and stay Viera, for that matter).

Not to mention it doesn't have to be "Fantasia addicts," I myself expressed that the plan was to switch between male and female Viera every other month, and at least another poster expressed the same. How many non-binary players (or simply players that enjoy a change of look every once in a while) but don't post in the forums do you think there are? Or the average player that messes around in the benchmark and thinks "Oh, this race/gender looks cool...but I don't wanna make an alt...I could change to this" Reducing it to the hyperbolic "no one will play this/oh, just Fantasia addicts" is missing a whole bunch of middle ground.

I can't possibly know how many people buy potions ... but I'm sure SE knows.

And guess what? SE released a race already before so they should know what to generally expect from potion sells as well as how often people generally buy them.

What are they doing now? Saying that this is the last new race addition we're getting cause it's all their can handle. Also that no, they can't just throw more money at this. That it makes everything that much harder to make and would slow down the pace of content.

They would be the only people to possibly know if how much they could profit from a new race and they are telling you no, it's not worth the strain and sacrifices.

But here you all are, making it seem like they could profit on working for 2 years to make something that makes everything else in the game harder and more expensive to make and would slow down the content that drives people to play this sub based p2p game.

To make it clear I'm not telling anyone they can't hope for or shouldn't want Viera males and Hrothgar Females. Hell, I'd prob play as a Hrothgar female if they looked good seeing as a lil part of me is panicking because I'm gonna dive into Hrothgar with most all my current glam being for a female (... and I gotta name change!)

But trying to use the excuse of "Think of the PROFITS!" for why they should be added is just terrible and flat out silly. Part of their JOB is to think of the profits and they're telling you they can't do it. People get confused by WoW, they forget that that game can run on a toaster and Blizzard is OK with it looking garbo. Of the 3 biggest MMOs there's WoW, FF and GW2. GW2 will NEVER add a new race and FF is apparently now at it's limit.
