Lalafell fit the aesthetics you seem to desire. They can be designed to be very short and androgynous looking and fit the 'underdog' concept very well.

I think the issue people have to keep in mind is this is not just what they think is okay to exist but what they want to probably play as. So there are a few voices coming from just one person depending on how you approach the subject.
I don't mind if there were very feminine males, but I also want a more masculine Ronso like race (I'd take literally Ronso to be honest). Or if no Hrothgar I might be interested in a masculine lion-rabbit, but I wouldn't want to play a neutral/feminine male character. So if we have to fight over limited resources it might sound like "down with the idea of X" but it's more like "I want to see this instead".
At least personally :3.
I imagine if there are male Viera it's going to be that concept art from SE we've seen a bunch, or nearly like it (lean and muscular, like a gymnast body but taller lol).
haha XD.![]()

No, I'm not. You're specifically requesting a child-like aesthetic and such a thing already exists in-game. You're also repeatedly claiming that we can't have another 'bara' race because they already exist. Surely the same argument can be made for the aesthetics that you desire?
I'd also point out that many of the recent biggest releases outside of Japan have embraced masculine aesthetics to a significant degree. Aside from FFXIV doing just that outside of Othard/Hingashi, there's:
- Dragon Quest XI
- Monster Hunter World
- Resident Evil 2 Remake
- Devil May Cry 5
- Soul Calibur 6
Of those, two even had a crossover with a Western game. Geralt of Rivia showed up in Monster Hunter World and Soul Calibur 6. A number of upcoming Japanese titles are also set to follow a similar pattern. So it's a myth that there's very little appetite for such things over in Japan. They're not niche titles, either.
I think this entire thread is just people trying to use what they think they know to validate their hopes in getting what they want. If you think male Viera could be androgenous and still live in the forest and shoot bows and all that, more power to you.
I feel you’re not grasping my point. There is no actual lore saying LALA need magical weapons or equipment to weild greataxes.
ALSO VIERA are an old race that lives long. Why wouldnt they have access to magical equipment as well.
My only point is using the the setting of where they come from to describe their physical appearance is silly.
If that were the case FEMALE Miqote would be much larger like female lions but they are not. THEY CUTE.
Xalea women are warriors of the steepe... but they are often cute.
IN ANIME and IN Final Fantasy your visual appearance dont really matter when it comes to physical prowess
1) you specifically mentioned a high ranking Flames officer performing heroics.
2) I am not saying that to wield a heavier weapon that a lalafell or any of the smaller females must have magic augmentation. After all, the weapons are adjusted to their size. What I am saying is that you cannot discount the role magical gear and materia plays with the heroes. These are used specifically to augment the wielder.
3) The divergent physical and mental evolution of the races is a fact and ties into traits they found advantageous and attractive in their environments. You cannot simply discount these because it’s fantasy - that is awfully poor writing, and SE have never done this. You are taking exceptions and trying to present them as violations of this point when there are better alternative explanations to hand.
This is why you are going to be stuck with the title of TROLL for me.No, I'm not. You're specifically requesting a child-like aesthetic and such a thing already exists in-game. I never asked for a child like aesthetic I asked for a young hero look.
LALAfell look like fat babies.. and by no means make sense for anything or anything I requested.
I just want to look like alphy. His body type does not exist in the game.
Also friday is on its way and we will see what happens.. either way I will play this game.. Cuz i do love my miqo.
see ya on friday troll.
T
Alphinaud is technically a child, though. At least by the standards of quite a few countries. He's also stuck in a time bubble that keeps him locked at the age of sixteen no matter how many years pass in the real world.
I just fought along side some random lala in a fate wielding an axe dropping monsters twice her size.I feel you’re not grasping my point.

I just think you are more willing to allow women to be more flexible in fantasy than men.
You have female viera who are describe as strong warriors.. however you dont care that they are walking around mostly nude. BUT MEN oh boy they live alone in the while and they have to be rugged? Come on.. Give me a break.
He has a point, alphinaud is technically a child I think hee's 16? in lore? and yoshida has said previously why the dev team wouldn't make child miqo's playable when requested, because it's uuuh well, I'll let someone else say it.
