What's wrong with playing 'old content'? If you ever want to level a second job you'll have to do that anyway, and you have to do it anyway via roulettes...
Who said there would be less job quests? You can still have the same amount of job quests and slightly tweak what level they happen at so that point is invalid. You can’t buy jump potions for new jobs, so that also doesn’t count.

Now as far as the old content, we’re talking about a brand new expansion being released. Obviously everyone will want to jump right in to brand new content right away and they should be able to do that with the new jobs right at the beginning.
