Gender locked race?

I'm up for bestial anything, but I have a problem with a lion-esque race. Lions are felines, different genus, but still cats. You know what's also a feline race? Miqo'te.

Fill your (as in SE's boots) with going for a bestial race if Viera are genderlocked (I still hope not), but if it is a leonine race, it should have been something else.

Also with a leonine race, I'm going to be honest, and say I actually thought Moombas first.

But if they were a new Beast Tribe??? OMG I WOULD DIE THEY'RE TOO ADORABLE.

If they want to make a lion race they can just give miqo'te some manes, or even introduce a new sub miqo'te race with mane, maybe more threatening
