Every trial, dungeon or raid outside of Savage can be done with some people being AFK if the rest of the group is skilled. And, if we trust the "carry" groups, even Savage can.
You know why ? Because if it was more difficult, people would complain that they would have to learn how to play properly.

So, yeah, I blame the playerbase for being crybabies who can't put effort into the game. And it's no more true than in Eureka, where people complain leveling up taking ages but keep AFKing in the train, when actually killing proper targets would make them reach level cap really fast.

Because good players can carry bad players, thats an intended game design, even if it was a flaw, is small and insignificant as trails, dungeons and raids obviously have a much larger attention requirement of a far larger part of the player base. I can see dungeons, as their formula hasn't changed in 5 years, to be on the same level by now that Eureka.

But Eureka as a whole can be AFKed, alt-tabbed, is not like is an "intended design" - Cause if it was, well, that says enough. But it isn't. Players alt-tabbing in Eureka are a consequence of a terrible design. Players being good or bad at a game are another thing entirely. I have yet to see any of what you describe, yet Eureka "META" - Basically AFKing, is a factual point.

Players alt-tabing in Eureka die at every NM spot, and are only able to level up because some benevolent players actually make the effort to raise them so that they won't lose everything they earned. If Death Penalty was incurred everytime, even if only a fraction of it when you're raised like it was in XI, those players would never have reached Pyros.

Lol what is this? It's pretty rare I see people refute themselves so volunatarily.

Alexandre: People AFK Eureka because it sucks.
You: People afk other content too so clearly it is also bad!

Like come on here. I have seen maybe 20 afker's total outside of Eureka in the 5 years of playing this game (not counting the obvious bots you see out in the world) whereas the number of people who AFK in Eureka is somewhere in the neighborhood of half every single instance. If the content was engaging, people would do it. That they opt to afk it instead means that it is not, and it is that simple. It has nothing to do with laziness.

Laziness doesn't even make sense to begin with. The lazy route is not doing Eureka because the tomestone weapon is going to be better the majority of the time and take about 1/20th the effort. Crybabies is a hilarious term for feeling like people aren't putting in enough work for your arbitrary standards of who gets to own a bad weapon that glows though. Are you this salty about the crafted primal weapons too?

That's not what he said. He said Eureka is badly designed because people can AFK in it and still "clear" it.

I've seen more than that every time a new alliance raid is released, with people staying outside the boss gates. And there are probably enough in total over the years that SE recently had to make something to draw you inside. The big difference is that, in those instance, people will kick you for being AFK.

If they don't want to put effort in an optionnal weapon, why do they even show there ? Like you said, the tome weapon is easier and better to obtain. But no, they wan't their shiny new toy, but don't want to work for it...and they come here complaining that they shouldn't have to work for it and that they're forced to do Eureka.

This very topic was created by someone complaining that you have to do Eureka...to be able to do Eureka.
