That doesn't change the fact that they're wasting development resources right now implementing something that the vast majority of the playerbase does not want.

As someone else said you don't speak for the vast majority. As naive as this sounds, this seems like a very small change... wasting resources makes it seem like they spent a lot of time doing this.

In due respect, while I believe your choice of word there was nothing more than a troll, or belittling attempt... You got me on a technicality there with the usage of 'complaint', so I'll concede on that.

In due respect, I wasn't trolling. It might be hard for you to grasp but I was using a word... but that's ok typical forum goer. Anytime someone doesn't agree they are clearly a troll and belittling you, your ignorance fits in perfectly on the Internet! "How dare you use a word that (in my opinion) is belittling! TROLL!" Seems a bit bit sensationalist. Until there's an actual poll, there's no way of knowing whether or not that's true. The minority are usually the most vocal on these forums, as it has always been. There's going to be even more bias in a thread dedicated to opposition of something, so using the comments on it to claim the majority dislike the idea isn't really fair.

I don't mind the change, and Yoshi-P has said that he's working on a big post to explain why they're changing it. He's said it's not because he wants to give players the ability to immediately cancel spells, but that there's a bigger reason. So before everyone goes off and cries bloody murder, I'd suggest to wait and see what Yoshi-P has to say about why they're doing it.

I just want to add my voice to those who think this is a really bad idea.

There's already enough pressure on healers to cast timely cure spells without adding the requirement that you stand perfectly still while doing so. It was an annoying mechanic in FFXI, and it's not welcome here, either.

I honestly believe they will be giving this the steadfast treatment... they realized that its nigh impossible to stand completely still, especially regarding knockback, swinging your weapon, barely tapping the control.

Stop freaking out everyone and wait to see how it works. Why do we go through this every patch? You're turning Casper the friendly ghost into Freddy Kruger (i.e. making it seem 10x worse than it probably will be in reality).
