Yes you are complaining:
Maybe as it stands (since this change hasn't been made yet) we aren't seeing this in the 'current state of affairs' and a better word to use would have been disagree. However, in a few days this will move to complaint.com·plain/kəmˈplān/
Verb:
Express dissatisfaction or annoyance about a state of affairs or an event.
Aside from your disagreement with my word choice, the servers are out of sync true. Server lag will always exist, at least for people in NA... I doubt they will ever put an NA based server online.
For sacII being 2.25 seconds, it is... the only thing is that the spell finishes before you see it finish on your screen. People will adapt to the fact that they can move before they see the spell finish.
Other games have similar issues. WoW has it as well as every other game and it has an NA based server.
Details (for wow players): Quartz mod and "spell weaving"... start casting, you can see your latency to the server, you cancel (move) while you're in latency period and your spell still casts even though you moved. This is same theory applies to FFXIV.Details (for Non-WoW players): You could see how much lag you had between your pc and the servers. It gave you a solid number in milliseconds. Let's use 100ms as your latency, a spell cast is 1 second... after casting for .9 seconds you can move and your cast will still complete.
This isn't ideal and the servers suck, we all know this to be true. However there isn't much hope to get the servers fixed before 2.0...
Also... Yoshi P is pretty smart, I'd wager all my gil that he will make the spell cancel by movement work the same way as Steadfast. You actually had a small area you can move about while Steadfast was active and it wouldn't cancel the buff.
You'll learn to play with it... right or wrong, hate it or love it, this is the direction they want to move in. If AFTER the patch comes out and it's complete trash by all means complain and they will change it.... ability queue anyone?
