Some of you may be thinking, who is this guy? Sorry for my lack of appearance on the FFXIV forums![]()
Just wanted to clarify something that Yoshi-P mentioned, which was incorrectly translated. I have already corrected the original post, but wanted to re-post it here for you all to see.
Apologies for the mix up!

It's weird now.
1. The only reason these forums do exist is so that customers can provide feedback. They don't exist so game developers can offer pro bono advice to save FFXIV's bacon. They could be waiting a long time if that was the reason. And funny enough, knowing what you like in music allows you to choose which music you purchase NOT in how the music was created or what direction the creators of the music will take in their developmental process of their next work of art.
Quite simply; you don't buy music you don't like.
More to the point: You don't purchase a game you don't enjoy or think is flawed.
In either case: The consumer has no say in what is best for a musician or a game developer and the process in which they arrive at their final products.
People tend to think that just because there is an official forum for FFXIV it means they can say whatever they want, no matter how abusive it is to other members of the community and developers. Giving feedback is one thing, and it is what the forums are here for, but in the end the developers have the creative rights to this MMO, not us... Which usually ends up in situations where certain members of this community forget who they are and think they can say just about anything they want to just to try and prove that their idea/way of thinking is the best and only way to think. They usually arrive at irrational notions such as the developers being ill equipped to create a game people will enjoy, or that other community members are inept because they don't share the same sentiment....It's silly really.
2. If a customer doesn't like something, as a gaming consumer, their opinion is perfectly valid and influential. If enough people don't like something or do like something, you can bet those concerns will be taken seriously. At the end of the day, it's consumers who decide whether this game lives or dies.

Your statement contradicts itself. More importantly, what you are trying to say is false. Square has already said, "We were wrong, please stick around and help us make it right." NOT "You can have these forums but keep in mind we don't really care about your feedback. well fix this on our own."
Those of us who are still here are trying our best to do direct the Dev's into making a game that is successful worldwide, which is the goal stated by the Yoshi team.
If there is a reason that the Dev want to TAKE AWAY something that the community enjoys, Yoshi should have led with the reason so we could discuss it. He didn't. Because he did not state a reason or why there was no reason, I will guess that it is because he did not assume that movement while casting was something that was important to this community.
It is our job at that point, as those who have agreed to remain and help with reconstruction, to inform the Dev's (through these forums) that the planned action of removing movement while casting would seem to be detrimental to the games development.
This only become obnoxious when players begin insulting those who are trying to do what Square has requested of them.
My guess is that such players believe that Yoshi and the Dev team are like delicate children who need constant protection and can't face criticism. I promise you, they are not. Though know they have to get this right, and we should help in anyway we can.
