If you think they gonna remove animation lock in 1.20-1,21 with moving to cancel cast you are completely mistaken. Unless I missed something where they say this is what's gonna happen... but doubt it.being able to move to cancel is GREAT! and about time!!!
exactly how it should have been from the start! remove all these lockdowns we have now its annoying and inhibits good combat. ff11 had it smack on..all i can do is hope they grab alot more from 11 ...you know the one that didnt go belly up at release![]()
SE can do it right, and are on the right track in this regard.
moogle rating +3 SE gj gj and again...gj!!

I'll never understand how people can like standing still in a spot. It is so boring.
I like it because i regen mp! Watch the moogle video im pretty sure the cnj is still moving around, no one is breaking your keyboard / controller dude, u stand still while spellcasting and for faster mana regen, move when you have to. Your doing some hardcore complaining for 2 extra steps on a 3 second cast. I understand you would like that option but it really does throw off balance and isnt needed.
I just want to add my voice to those who think this is a really bad idea.
There's already enough pressure on healers to cast timely cure spells without adding the requirement that you stand perfectly still while doing so. It was an annoying mechanic in FFXI, and it's not welcome here, either.

I think I am against it, and that is for the mere fact that everything dies too fast and groups roam. From my current perspective no spellcasting while moving seems like a needless hindrance. However, that said, Yoshi has more clarity on the future battle mechanics, abilities, and flow. I guess I just need to see how it is implemented before I completely contest.I just want to add my voice to those who think this is a really bad idea.

As someone else said you don't speak for the vast majority. As naive as this sounds, this seems like a very small change... wasting resources makes it seem like they spent a lot of time doing this.
In due respect, I wasn't trolling. It might be hard for you to grasp but I was using a word... but that's ok typical forum goer. Anytime someone doesn't agree they are clearly a troll and belittling you, your ignorance fits in perfectly on the Internet! "How dare you use a word that (in my opinion) is belittling! TROLL!" But since you concede and I used the correct terminology, not sure why you went the extra mile to call me a troll.... must be because you're a troll (c wut eye dud thur?)
I'd put a positive spin on it... the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Well said...Seems a bit bit sensationalist. Until there's an actual poll, there's no way of knowing whether or not that's true. The minority are usually the most vocal on these forums, as it has always been. There's going to be even more bias in a thread dedicated to opposition of something, so using the comments on it to claim the majority dislike the idea isn't really fair.
I don't mind the change, and Yoshi-P has said that he's working on a big post to explain why they're changing it. He's said it's not because he wants to give players the ability to immediately cancel spells, but that there's a bigger reason. So before everyone goes off and cries bloody murder, I'd suggest to wait and see what Yoshi-P has to say about why they're doing it.
I honestly believe they will be giving this the steadfast treatment... they realized that its nigh impossible to stand completely still, especially regarding knockback, swinging your weapon, barely tapping the control.I just want to add my voice to those who think this is a really bad idea.

Stop freaking out everyone and wait to see how it works. Why do we go through this every patch? You're turning Casper the friendly ghost into Freddy Kruger (i.e. making it seem 10x worse than it probably will be in reality).

With the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response.
I doubt your choice of words were not done with that intent.
Lol I knew something was behind the reason they are implementing it. Yoshi said it himself AND the new cast times, and people are STILL against it without reason.
Cry me a river.
they will be against it until he realizes it is a mistake and puts it back in. it wouldn't be the first time he made a change and then put it back in the game because it was a bad decision and resources wasted.

If this is such a "bad decision", let him do it. The only other thing that has happened was action queuing, which MOST have gotten used to already.
Seriously, why not just see what the hell the man has planned for this. They need to make their own decisions sometimes, not go by what people complain about on the forums all the time.
