I actually already have an Au Ra alt, but I intentionally chose the low-down horns to avoid as much clipping as I could.

my point was that with literally any Au Ra, male or female, the horns are ignored. You basically have to pretend they've cut out holes to wear their hats/helmets/etc. If SE continues to be fine with that "solution" to Au Ra horns, there is little reason to be concerned about Viera ears- They'll clip through the headpiece and you'll have to imagine that theres holes in there for the ears.
Also Au Ra are mammals. They aren't lizards or dragons. Think of them more like human shaped pangolins or armadillos.

That's what we need, armadillos!my point was that with literally any Au Ra, male or female, the horns are ignored. I just read here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...d_humans_from/ that it seems that they're more in line with void-kin than dragons or mammals.

No. The art team was inspired by demons.I just read here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...d_humans_from/ that it seems that they're more in line with void-kin than dragons or mammals.
You hardly need to look at a 2 year old "what if?" post, as of SB we know:
✔ Au Ra are warmblooded
✔ Au Ra have live births/breasts
✔ Voidsent are mutated denizens of the 13th world
They're mammals.
The world needs more monster girl waifus
