I don’t see why they didn’t just do “greed only” in non relevant content. Making me greed against 23 other players hurts my progression if I have to run something a hundred times hoping for a drop AND the rng against all the other players to get it.

And by the time I get it, I’ll most likely have enough of what ever tome is top at the time to get higher ilvl piece anyway.

At most youre rolling against 7 other players, not 23.
And those 7 players are all after specific gear themselves. There are 7 different gear sets, so statistically you'll only be rolling against 1 other person, because not everyone will be after the same thing as you.

This is only assuming that people of your own class are going to be rolling at all and everyone is going to be passing. This is not the case in the raid.

The logic of Camp A makes no sense because alliance raids are casual content which given the disaster even Crystal Tower raids can be, some people treat them as more casual than dungeons.

Going in with your i370 means nothing when gear literally does not matter when there's no enrage timer to beat and you have two hours to clear the content. Not to mention mechanics are what get people killed in them, not something that makes gear matter and having a high item level doesn't mean anything if you fail mechanics.

its a new thing, its okay if you want just better gear for your current or another class but if you want just the set.. its little bit sad how they made it

They might do, but by locking themselves put of weekly loot with something they can't even use, they're shooting themselves in the foot.
Even if they do, they remove themselves from the competition the moment they gain an item.
Even if you have 2 other people rolling for tank gear, if one of them gets gloves and the other gets a belt, you'll get exclusive rights on the body.

Plenty of people do enjoy tanking.

As for the "what if I lose it to some RDM?" That\\'s exactly what I just referred to.

You may very well lose it to a RDM, but that doesn\\'t mean that person needed the rank gear any less than you do.
It also doesn\\'t mean you\\'re always going to lose it to someone else. It depends entirely on if anyone else in the party is gearing a tank or not.
If tanking is so unpopular as you say, then you shouldn\\'t have much competition.

You can bypass the 1000 character limit by just editing your post. I always write everything I want to say, Cut everything but the first sentence, hit Edit, and then paste the rest of the message back in. If you do it fast enough the forum doesn't even show that there was an edit and the entire 1000+ character comment shows up as normal.

Considering it can be gotten around so easily and the fact that you need an active sub to even use the forums (or at the very least, have logged in at some point within the last two weeks) I don't even understand why such a restriction is in place.

We went in as an Alliance (we had 2 full groups and used pf for the 3rd) and in the first time in like forever i have won a roll but yes the system is complete nonsense.

People don't care about shooting themselves in the foot right now. They're still rolling. Also, you don't get exclusive rights. You'll still be rolling against the 5 remaining players who did not get an item yet.
