Please, yes, implement an iLevel restriction.

Also, neither here nor there, but higher-level content (Expert Roulette / current Raid tier on up) should have, in addition to an average iLevel requirement, a minimum iLevel requirement on all pieces that is somewhat lower. I had the awful experience of finding a tank in Hells' Lid using a level 68 weapon, iLevel 285. There's really no excuse for this at all, and said individual should not have been permitted to queue, even if they did meet the average iLevel.

if they have under i290 left ask why, if you see they did not do the 70 job quest, kick them. No excuse to have anything less then 290 left in expert. You have no business being in expert if you have not done your level 70 job quest for the ability. Well.. I gotta admit.. my friend's stories got me more aware about people doing that. She only does the 5 a week expert thing and did 3 kicks in SB due to that. Idr how many I did myself.

Expert and level 70 raids should be locked if you did not do the level 70 job quest for the job you are on, no matter what your gear is.

Anyways I agree with the idea there needs to be some kind of gating for leveling for each slot to meet some kind of ilevel. Even with good weapon, having weak left and having right carry the ilevel can mean being oneshot by unavoidable AoE damage. I wonder if this is another change that never happened because the Japanese playerbase doesn't have problems like this.

It is possible to join level 61-69 dungeons with ilvl 0. As long as I can join no matter if I have gear or not, it seems legit, right?

More specifically it's another change that won't happen because it's not posted in a specific language. Every DC has just as many problems as any other. People are alike all over.

Back to the point at hand though, I generally agree. I mean ilvl, yes. Abilities, not so much. First, there's stuff like Plenary Indulgence, Aetherpact, Passage of Arms? Not really critical in most content, especially not 4man. Second, people could just be bad. Your AST might not have Sleeve Draw and that's not nice, but what difference does it make between an AST that *does* have Sleeve Draw, but just doesn't use it? Whereas better gear will make a bad player more useful, regardless of how they actually play. Brotherhood is a very good skill, but if your MNK doesn't use it, it doesn't matter if it gives 5% or 1000%.

i'm well aware, however, if someone does not even do their 70 level quest before entering expert, how well do you think that player will perform rushing like that? Do you know how obvious noticeable level it is if you have any sense of time? (I/E this is taking too long , why?)It goes dead slow, you do not need a praser to know something is wrong with that kind of pace.
