What if, as a DPS-only player, you only have about 1 hour per day to play? With the current queue times, that's roughly 2 Sigmascape runs (or Trial roulette), 1 Roulette (other than trial), or 0 Rabanastre runs (Yes, that's a zero, for being over an hour total). All of that, combined with perhaps not even being able to play every day, means that someone with that kind of time constraints may have to choose between Sigmascape and capping tomes.

More role options (or more tank/healer jobs), will not fix queue times. About the only way they can be reduced is by adding a 3rd dps slot to light parties. Unfortunately, that may be a larger change than just adding the slot, as it throws the balance of current dungeons off, and may even completely break certain dungeon mechanics. For those reasons, adding that 3rd DPS slot should be considered a major change. That said, having it would alleviate DPS queues greatly, and it should be looked into as time and resources permit.
