This is not unique to XIV at all. Not even remotely. In every mmorpg that has the trinity of tank/healer/dps in order to do content, for most content dps have the longest queues because a massive chunk of players, for several reasons, do not want to tank or heal. It hasn't got to do with those roles not being fun, it often has a lot to do with players not wanting the responsibility that comes with those roles. And well for some people they just prefer playing as dps.

If you can't deal with dps queue times then I suggest you stay away from any mmos that have a trinity system for their group content. Or play a tank or healer.

Also you think 10+ minutes is too long? I consider a 10 - 15 minute queue to be pretty fast for a dps. I'd be more sympathetic if your queue times were always 30+ minutes.

Not trying to invalidate your entire post, but I do think your criticism of dps queue times is a bit silly.
