Why? The advantages to having a large are not amazing. You get one extra garden patch (many players couldn't give a hoot about that) and you can have all the crafting stations (which only work to lvl 50 so they don't get used much now). Since the vendor cap has increased the need for having a large has dropped a lot. If having a large somehow affected fc rooms or the workshop it would mean something, but they don't.

Not all fcs want a mansion and some solo players do. Don't assume to speak for other fcs by saying mansions should only be reserved for them.

Players who owned several houses before 4.2 aren't violating anything. SE have said this themselves. Likely they will take away excess housing when all characters on the same server can have access to the same private home.
