Sad experiences of a newbie

For real, if they don't like how you're playing then tell them they are free to vote kick. 95% of the time they'll shut up and act like nothing happened. If they don't, stop healing them. Let them die and don't rez.

This is the worst piece of advice I've heard in a while - thats a damn shitty attitude that no one should have and that certainly should not be encouraged, specially not to a new person.

After all this is as an MMO a team-based game - expressing not wanting to be part of this team will only escalate situations more - I'll happly kick and remove anyone with an attitude like that from my parties. On the other hand if the person asks or listens to advice I'm quite tolerant and I know a lot of other people here to be the same.
Your response shouldnt be "You dont pay my sub!" but rather "Okay, tell me how to improve then!" and trying to actually do that - improve. As others have pointed out: Only healing is a no-no in this game. And at a certain level you're rightfully expected to know the basics of your job (that means healing AND dpsing for a healer in this game) - its no reason for outright harrassment if you dont but its also your job to go into content prepared.
Read a guide.
Join the NN.
Find friends/FC/LS with people who are willing to go through dungeons slowly to teach you the basics.
Ask for advice and take it.

Dont become one of the "You dont pay my sub"-people... thats not gonna help anyone.

All I'm saying is have a back bone. There's a pretty obvious newbie icon next to a new person's name, what kind of person get's their jolly's off laying into a new player like that? Not one worth playing with IMO.

I don't even notice when healers do or don't dps, must be sooooo important.

One more thing, don't forget to do your Hall of the Novice. It actually does cover a variety of basic topics for FF14 (and yes, it does mention doing damage spells when no one needs healing)

I expect "someone" to be the better person - answering a shitty attitude with a shitty attitude leads nowhere.

Its sad that we're seeing rude behaviour in the game as it is - why do you want to add to it by encouraging someone to show a rude and shitty attitude themself?

I'd agree to a point. If someone is being POLITE and offering constructive advice then yeah. If someone is being vicious and a total douche what you're saying isn't going to help.

OP: Report the people harassing you. The GM's take harassment reports seriously and will investigate.

It is sad to hear that you were harassed in dungeon. There is a report function but I feel in general it is useless and a waste of time as I don't feel SE does any thing other than the worst cases. Given you have played 30 days and still a green leaf, I would recommend finding other new players to join with. Join an FC if you can that has helpful players that are experienced and don't mind going into a dungeon with you and wiping a few times and help teach you on healing in FFXIV and getting a sense of different tank pulls. What to expect. Last if you are on a PS4, get a keyboard to help chat with party members , it will more often than not help resolve issues and keep things moving. In the end I would say stick with FFXIV as it is a great game even though duty finder can sometimes be very rough.

I mean, I guess that ultimately depends on your definition of "advice"

In almost every dungeon I've been doing I have had abuse hurled at me... it was personal and targeted... downright vicious and really exhausting.

Is this your definition of advice?

OP I say give it another shot. Recommend running some lower end dungeons as I find those to be positive than the 60+ dungeons
