Ouch, being new myself I had the other kindof experience where people don't believe I'm new. Even on my war where I swear I have no idea what I'm doing people have been decent atleast. And I used both jump potions.. one on monk and story potion. Tho I started out as a dps and then tried war tanking, I haven't touched healing cause.. buck that. Maybe later, but I'm sorry you went thur that. I would say if you're still there try a dps class? Either that or reach out to people on the forums, see if they can help you. It might work out.

One more thing, don't forget to do your Hall of the Novice. It actually does cover a variety of basic topics for FF14 (and yes, it does mention doing damage spells when no one needs healing)

It is sad to hear that you were harassed in dungeon. There is a report function but I feel in general it is useless and a waste of time as I don't feel SE does any thing other than the worst cases. Given you have played 30 days and still a green leaf, I would recommend finding other new players to join with. Join an FC if you can that has helpful players that are experienced and don't mind going into a dungeon with you and wiping a few times and help teach you on healing in FFXIV and getting a sense of different tank pulls. What to expect. Last if you are on a PS4, get a keyboard to help chat with party members , it will more often than not help resolve issues and keep things moving. In the end I would say stick with FFXIV as it is a great game even though duty finder can sometimes be very rough.

OP I say give it another shot. Recommend running some lower end dungeons as I find those to be positive than the 60+ dungeons

Wish you could stay in ffxiv (it's the best mmorpg there is). The ffxiv community is actually the best I've see. Sadly you probably found a streak of jerks in most/all your duties. Normally in ffxiv people are helpful and teach boss mechanics (though I've noticed an attitude recently where people have stopped teaching boss fights which is something I always fight against and should be called out).

Hope you give ffxiv another chance, the community is more good than bad. The bad apples are few in general, compared to most mmos.

I am pretty lazy when I heal, and I've yet to have anyone throw insults at me for not dps'ing. I had someone yell at me for not aoeing on SAM once, after my tp was out from aoeing...

This is the type of advice you want to avoid listening to. There is nothing good that comes from fighting rude attitudes and behavior with more rude attitudes and behavior.

All the "You don't pay my sub" excuse does is display your lack of maturity and your incompetence of not only playing with others in a group, but also your lack of communicating with them as well.
