    Super Savage is simply FFXIV's new method of implementing a proper super boss. You know, those secret encounters with an enemy so obscenely powerful even if you have a maxed out party, you need to be on point with your strategy and ready to endure a long fight.

    That FF tradition. Omega itself has been one in various games.


    OP is just asking for this Super Savage boss to have requirements that will allow it to retain it's difficulty for years to come, thus allowing it to remain relevant for much longer and to make the rewards something of value for the accomplishment of beating it.

    And another thing, if the concern is Dev time, please understand that the Dev team are taking the easiest possible route of doing this Super Savage boss.

    It's just a heavily tuned up version of Deltascape V4. The assets, half of which are already unique to the Savage version, already exist. This is the least resource heavy way for them to possibly implement an intensely hard fight for players that want one as they chose to tune the regular raid's difficulty down.

    Let the masochists have a few good fights.

    Source? Pretty sure last time I heard about it they said that the super savage fight would be independent from omega savage.

    Completely agree with OP. I really hope they don't fuck it up like they did with SCoB savage by allowing unsynced runs on content that was there exclusively for the difficulty (it didn't drop anything new either).

    Its not V4, it is a heavily tuned up fight that already exists in the game but has nothing to do with Omega. My bet is Ozma.

    A reasonable request. SE making it possible to unsync and clear SCOB Savage for titleglamours as a lv 60~70 group has completely diminished my and many other people's motivation in tackling these turns proper and truthfully, and I'd hate for the same to happen to the SuperSavage Fight in 4.1.
    It defeats its entire purpose.

    Thanks for the save, man. I got the info backwards (I though it WAS a V5.0!) but the sentiment still stands. It sounds like the devs are enjoying designing this thing~

    But, actually, if that is the case, perhaps the SS fights are pulling from old fights akin to the Wandering Minstrel. Maybe Khloe's getting hardcore?

    Well, not quite. They'd get yet another braindead dungeon to spam in expert roulette for 3 months. They said only 1 dungeon on odd patches now so we can get new stuff instead.

    Thats not just super savage though, thats eureka, PotD, new unannounced content that Yoshi P keeps teasing, Lost canals, and anything else that they haven't mentioned (blitzball?), super savage in isolation is impacting basically nothing.
