There are WHMs that never use Assize now. There will be WHMs that never use Assize (and ASTs that never use ES) in SB.Actually, just one little thing about the healers's dps.
Except Scholar, White Mage and Astrologian will deal damage whether they want it or not (since now the damages scaling is on mind)
Assize for WHM, Earthly Star and The Lord for Astrologian. (and we can't choose between the lady or the lord).
So they'll never be zero dps healer ever again
WHM that never use one of the best WHM's skill are really bad.
"Once you reach that level 70 cap, and you reach Savage Omega, there may be [new] discoveries that you make at that point. So we hope that the players do try it out, and provide feedback once you’ve experienced it first hand"
So any other non-savage running whitemages feel like their feedback is meaningless?
Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!
Well, I guess that means there are bad WHMs out there. Just like every other job. I have already grouped with many-a-WHM who don't use assize already. Despite it's atrocity, it is not news. However, with the Cleric change, I will not deny that it is even worse now if they don't use it.
No, he means reading the tooltips and coming to the forums to say that WHM is dead is like playing Dragoon at level 20 and saying Dragoon is the worst DPS job in the game."Once you reach that level 70 cap, and you reach Savage Omega, there may be [new] discoveries that you make at that point. So we hope that the players do try it out, and provide feedback once you’ve experienced it first hand"

Pretty much everything in regards to balance is based on end-game raiding most likely, not just WHMs."Once you reach that level 70 cap, and you reach Savage Omega, there may be [new] discoveries that you make at that point. So we hope that the players do try it out, and provide feedback once you’ve experienced it first hand"

So what you're saying is, because the majority isn't affected, screw balance and let things run rampant?
More people are effected by this than you think. More people raid than you may want to believe.
Sure, every job can clear content, but the huge disparity between their benefits to the party makes WHM feel more like a liability than something people want.
It doesn't matter if every single person that ever touched WHM cares about the difference. A job shouldn't be blatantly unbalanced and not fun to play just because it doesn't effect as many people.
Nope. It's like I said in a previous post. The devs simply have faith in the playerbase to either figure things out, or provide proper feedback. But the playerbase cannot do that until they get there. They do speak from previous experiences, and I am not saying that those are invalid, but they still have not cleared, or attempted to clear the savage content in SB. Until this happens, they will continue to respond by saying, "Calm down.""Once you reach that level 70 cap, and you reach Savage Omega, there may be [new] discoveries that you make at that point. So we hope that the players do try it out, and provide feedback once you’ve experienced it first hand"

There is no reason to complain about the viability of any job outside of savage..... WHM, even if implemented in the media tour state, could heal all content just fine. Healer utility doesn't matter outside of savage either..."Once you reach that level 70 cap, and you reach Savage Omega, there may be [new] discoveries that you make at that point. What is it with healers in this game and being overly dramatic....
Divine Benison at 30sec recast, mandatory Lily means 28.8 sec recast on a 15 sec duration barrier. The heal loop there looks a little cleaner at least.
Cure 2
+ Confession
Divine Benison (28.8sec CD, no GCD)
Plenary Indulgence (15sec CD, no GCD)
Assize (60sec CD?, no GCD)
Tetra (60sec CD?, no GCD)
That's a lot of off cooldown healing with zero MP cost. Add passive healing like Regen and Medica 2, and well... Not saying this makes Lily's and Confessions good design, but we're definitely going to have a lot of GCDs to spend on DPS and mechanics.
edit: damn, forgot Confession is 20% chance. Less exciting now.
