Right now I'm content that the dev team has continued to work on this system since the media release. I think we've all made our feelings and opinions extremely clear, and while the degree and expression of dissatisfaction varies across the board, there are enough warning signs out there that the devs can't possibly have failed to realize that there is room for further improvement.
Now we sit back and wait to see what they've come up with.



It was a pleasant surprise to hear of Yoshi-san's comments regarding White Mage. Cure II having a 100% chance to proc a lily is interesting as is the comment that the job is still under development. Square Enix is listening to our concerns. Being that it's the 5th, I hope we get some more information on what has changed since the last build in April.

Is anyone going to accept that CDR makes WHMs OGCD more reliably available at any point here? Where SCHs and ASTs get all that mitigation and offense utilities WHMs get emergency healing options. The simplicity of WHM comes from its lack of required multitasks, its pretty heal or dps. PLD is the same way, I need more defense for this, I have a button for it, and this button can pretty much be used whenever I need it. I'm pretty sure every AST has sat on AOE Balance for 45-90s or more just to be sure its up for that burst phase in some fights, or went phishing during all the trash to make sure it was up. Pretty soon SCHs will get to enjoy sitting on that juicy CD for the same reason.
Lilies vs Spear for the god knows how manyth time... A lily procs, you need to use a CD you get to use it, a Spear is drawn, you need to use a CD but oh know, Royal Road AOE is up, Redraw hope for something I wont be shamed for using, op got Spire, click off over reapply over royal road for 0 gain, wait 30s to try again. When you get a button to throw away lilies for 100% no gain aside from starting the CD again for potentially no gain again, well talk. For all that is righteous and decent stop making it seem like we always have the card we want and can use it on the spot. Hell we got a new button to LITERALLY throw away the current card, wouldve killed to get Royal Road to lose its overwrite ability and gain an opt to use 2nd click. After that, yep you could almost argue the reliability of cards. Also lilies doesn't have a 31-62s internal CD to really put it on the same field ad AST cards, or the 1/6-1/3 type you can actually use atm.
Also, I think you'll be hard pressed to find an AST here whos countering your attacks that believes we'll ever play with Earthly Star as it was shown in the Media Event. Its potency will probably go down, its cooldown will almost definitely start AFTER it blows up, and that just the obvious stuff. I also read the pure range on it was rediculous, heard something like 30y somewhere if that was true, that size likely getting halved. But still I think were excited for star bombing things, just smaller bombs, but still pretty explosions.

Well, I'll concede the removal of RNG-procs on our healing spells is a huge plus, and I'm happy about that. At the very least, we can reliably use our abilities as and when they're needed now.
But there's still the problem of the hot mess that is Confession stacks/ PI, and the fact that setting up these abilities will more often than not end up wasting mana (and time.) There's still no sense of the fluidity that won me over to WHM in the beginning. But it seems they're listening, so I will cautiously wait and see what happens.

Why would they remove stoneskin? There are so many situations during downtime that you can cast stoneskin to save someone with rez sickness. Pre SB content, how are WHMs going to save people with rez sickness from dying to Ultimates? What if there were only 2 whm in the group?

They removed Stoneskin because they wanted to regurgitate it back to us as a new post-60 skill that costs Lilies, evidently.Why would they remove stoneskin? The 100% proc rate on Cure 2 is definitely a sigh of relief, but it's an expensive one. I still think the WHM should have passive traits tied to the lilies such as reduced MP cost, increased MP regen, reduced enmity, or if reflect was implemented, it could contribute to the amount of damage that is reflected back while these lilies are active. Perhaps replace Divine Benison with Reflect, or give WHM the choice between the two.
If they want WHMs to cast their cures, they and their teammates need to be rewarded for it. They need to give the WHM power so that he/she has to evaluate if using up a CD is worth the cost of the lilies, but that is just my view of how they should work.
Hopefully how the confession stacks is being reworked as well. As is, I don't see much use of 'Plenary Indulgence'. Whether you are casual or hardcore, you're going to be spending a lot of time in dungeons and 8-man trials. Gating confession stacks with RNG and also adding a timer to the buff work against each other. It's a slot machine right now. In its weakest state, it does absolutely nothing. However at full power, its basically a healer LB2. But the sheer amount of gcds to get there, even best-case. Eek!
well, we can only hope these changes are for the better. In Ultros' NN we're already getting concerned Sprouts and Returners playing WHM freaking. Someone was kicked from a dungeon while they were leveling WHM earlier.
Please SE, this is already getting to the community as a whole, ease the fears at E3, Mentor's can only do so much to console, but some Mentor's have already been kicked as well for going into Dungeons on WHM.
We literally had to pull a 180 and pop out a random topic to distract them, but...this is concerning behavior already.
