I feel like the only AST main on this subforum who thinks that Balance is insanely problematic. It's also boring, IMO - it's so good that all it does is create a "Balance or bust" scenario where the rest of my cards are either Shuffled, clicked off, or made into Royal Road fodder rather than actually used, and that annoys me. I want to play a class where knowing how to use my buffs as I receive them or plan card combinations for a given situation is the barometer of skill, not how lucky I get drawing Balance cards and Spires/Ewers to AOE them.

To the guy talking about RNG, with the constant card changes we've had now you have something like a 36% chance to draw a Balance every 30 seconds (accounting for Shuffle). Failing that, you'll at least get a Spire or Ewer you can Royal Road, or an Arrow for a quick DPS boost on a BLM or MNK/NIN (rip their TP tho). The odds of getting a Spear>Bole Draw are the lowest they've ever been, and the meta is reflecting that. Setting up AOE Balance is no longer the unicorn it once was, and the strength of the card needs to reflect that IMO.
