You know... I haven't ever thought about that. I checked against a video or two and those attacks have cast bars. Focus target would make them trivial.I'll remember that.
Edit: I don't think I really answered your question. I memorized the timings instead of relying on cues. It's the same way I manage enochian in my rotation.I wasn't sure exactly how to explain what I meant by timing in terms of bosses doing mechanics, so I just went and solo'd the boss in question to get a more concrete feel for it. While those attacks are randomized, Chimera pauses before attacking and lifts the head matching the type of attack he's about to do. As his HP drops he starts doing more attacks, but they are in a loose order that's predictable. Granted, this requires a lot more intuiton and effort than just watching for the cast bar on his HP bar, or focus targeting, but it did work just fine for me.
Honestly, that last part makes me facepalm a little bit because I really only started using focus target in heavensward when look away mechanics became more common.I think I have a little too much ping or brain lag that I probably would not have time to see the heads charge but that is really good to know. I honestly learned about Focus Target back in T5. Been using it ever since. I also mention it to newer people because PERCENTAGES. I LOVE THEM.
As much as it pains me... I bolded all of the relevant things you missed.![]()
